Extended Video Shows Aftermath of Tamir Rice Shooting; Cops Gave No Aid, Restrained Sister

"This has to be the cruelest thing I've ever seen," says Rice family lawyer

From Reason.com:
Reporters for cleveland.com obtained extended footage of the killing of Tamir Rice. The full video demonstrates police officers' callous indifference to the boy they had wrongly shot. The two cops allowed him to bleed for several minutes; the first person to administer aid to Rice was actually an FBI agent who happened upon the scene while the officers stood around doing nothing.

Well, that's not quite right. They did something--they intercepted Tamir's sister as she ran to help him, knocked her on the ground, wrestled with her, held her down, handcuffed her, and placed her in the squad car a mere 10 feet away from her mortally wounded brother. And it was there that she waited, according to cleveland.com.

Cleveland police were responding to an emergency call claiming that Rice had a gun, although the caller made clear that the gun was very possibly a fake replica weapon. Police officials have insisted that the responding officers were unaware of that suspicion, however. Regardless, they shot him within moments of arriving on the scene.

Timothy Loehmann, the officer who killed Rice, had a record of mental instability and was previous forced to resign from a different police force for his "dismal" gun performance.

After shooting Rice, the officers failed to administer first aid for the subsequent four minutes. Eventually, an FBI agent administered aid. Paramedics arrived around minute eight.

Walter Madison, an attorney representing the Rice family, said of the video: "This has to be the cruelest thing I've ever seen."

I'm sure they did something else as well: called their union for instructions on what to lie. Which is why it was also so important not to allow anyone to see the victim before those instructions arrived.

Cop Fired After Driving Away From Fatal Shooting, Neglecting Duties to Spend Time With Her Cop Boyfriend

Chris | InformationLiberation

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - San Antonio Police officer Serena Botello has been fired and her appeal rejected after an investigation showed she went derelict on her duties 23 times in two months, often to spend time with a fellow SAPD officer who appears to be her live-in boyfriend.

In one case last March, rather than respond to a 911 call to help a 35-year-old man who shot himself in the head, Botello drove away despite being under a mile away and the closest officer to the scene.

Family members of the man said he died at the hospital hours later. Questions over how the case was handled lead SAPD to conduct an investigation into Botello's actions. After looking at GPS records from her vehicle, they determined she had spent over 36 hours from March 21 to May 15 "neglecting her duties."

Investigators found Botello spent some of this time with another SAPD officer, whom they later determined she was living with.

Botello's termination papers noted she violated SAPD's regulations concerning ?relationships with co-workers,? ?alertness required of members,? and ?on-duty activities.?

Botello had been issued two separate suspensions in December 2012, one for 20 days, and another for 30 days. KENS 5 reports a source familiar with her service records said at least one of those suspensions was for "failure to respond," yet she wasn't fired at the time and was allowed to keep her job.

I don't remember December. 2012 being fifty days long..... Thanks, she was issued two separate suspensions, I reworded it to be more clear! In Other News: "Hiring Less Qualified Applicants Because of Gender Causes People To Die" Ya know somethin, I've been a regular to this EXCELLENT website for a good while now & as a "foreigner" looking in, I feel sooo disheartened by the general (citizens) response to the stories I've read here. I'm not talking about the other "regulars", I mean the vast majority of american citizens who see NO problem with the way their country is being run & have no issue with their foreign policy stance. The United States Of America used to stand for something across the world, something good, something people aspired to, something people looked up to, a true democracy. America has been hijacked, not by ISIS or some other bogeyman, but by the very people entrusted to "protect & serve" the population, the politicians. I have decided NOT to contribute to the comments anymore, no-one is listening, no-one cares, I wish the very best for you, but I've seen enough to be pessimistic as to the outcome....
my prayers are with you & for you, in all denominations, please.... make a difference, for all our sakes. Hey irishpete, thanks so much for your kind words and for all your posts, I really enjoy reading them and personally I appreciate you sharing so much. I share your frustrations but I think you may not realize how much your comments contribute to the site, honestly without readers and commenters like you the site is nothing! I hope you'll reconsider!

Also, people are listening, just comment participation is low, maybe becuase we don't have the best comment system, I'm considering switching to disqus for example, but also if you check out this article on reddit you'll see there's a lot of comments and a lot of people who agree with you! http://www.reddit.com/r/Bad_Cop_No_Donut/comments/2rmd5d/cop_fired_after_driving_away_from_fatal_shooting/

All my best to you irishpete!

...so why didn't he get fired too??? Just another P.O.S. in uniform.

No Charges Against Chicago Cop Who Drank Several Beers Before Shooting Unarmed Man in Back

Article posted Dec 02 2013, 12:25 AMBy Carlos Miller

Cook County prosecutors spent two years conducting an ?exhaustive? investigation on a Chicago police officer who drank several before beers before shooting a man to death after the man pointed a cell phone at him.

Yet not once during those two years did prosecutors speak to officer Gildardo Sierra, who had shot two other men in the six months prior to the 2011 shooting, including one fatally.

The shooting, which was caught on a dash cam video, was enough for Chicago Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy to acknowledge that allowing Sierra back on the streets after the first two incidents was a mistake.

Police Pack Courtroom of Cop Facing Felony Charges for Shooting & Killing Restrained Dog

Faced with the prospect that a police officer may actually be held accountable for murdering someone's dog, police are out in full force in Commerce City packing the courtroom proceedings of police officer Robert Price, who is facing felony charges for shooting and killing a dog after it was restrained. Meanwhile, protesters who showed up for the hearing were directed to the wrong courtroom!

Via the Denver Post:

BRIGHTON ? An Adams County judge rescheduled an arraignment Tuesday for the Commerce City officer facing felony charges for shooting and killing a dog in November.

The hearing for Robert Price lasted about 5 minutes. His next court appearance is set for 2 p.m. April 15.

Price's name did not appear on court dockets, and initially, protesters who showed up to the hearing were directed to the wrong courtroom. When citizens found the correct room, all seats were occupied by officers who said they came to show support for Price.

Adams County Sheriff deputies escorted Price through back doors so that he could avoid the protesters and media.

Let's hope justice is served for once and this police officer is held accountable for his actions.

Dark Knight Shooting: More Evidence The Government Can't Protect You

Chris | InformationLiberation

Libertarians are frequently demonized and accused of supporting a state of lawlessness where everyone must "fend for themselves."

In fact, it's statism which creates a situation of lawlessness and "anarchy," in the negative sense of the word, because rather than people have full knowledge they must fend for themselves, they think the government will protect them. A task which, like keeping health insurance prices low, keeping drugs and weapons out of prisons, "managing" the economy, etc., the government fails at miserably. I believe such a failure was on display with today's Dark Knight shooting.

Just a few days ago there was a widely covered story when a 71-year-old man shot some robbers who entered an internet cafe armed with guns:

Fortunately, the older gentleman had a gun and was able to defend himself and everyone else from the armed robbers. One 71-year-old man did what the government could not. Imagine if such a situation occurred today at this Dark Knight shooting! If only one person had a gun the chances that Colorado shooter James Holmes would have been killed and more people would have survived would have been exponentially greater. The more people who had weapons, the easier it would have been to kill him.

Was no one armed? Are guns even allowed in the theatre? I'm not familiar with Colorado's gun laws, but any laws restricting what people are "permitted" to own by their rulers in the government are too many. Even if they had no restrictions on gun ownership (they do), the implicit false sense of protection the government gives people leaves people more exposed to danger because they assume "the government will protect them" and they do not have to "fend for themselves."

Of course, there was no police there to protect the people above in the internet cafe, nor was there any police to protect those during the Dark Knight shooting. As anyone who follows this site knows, the police generally act as revenue collection agencies for the state, violating people's rights just like armed robbers, rather than act to protect people from criminals, they act to protect the criminal state from the people.

The "government," or the people who call themselves "the government," are more likely to violate your rights than any random criminal, yet for the most part it's entirely illegal to defend yourself against government robbery and any state sanctioned "use of force."

To depend on these people for "protection" is foolish to the extreme, those who believe such nonsense put us all in danger.

*EXACTLY*!!!

more non thinking from you chris - you should stick to reporting the news and leave the commentary to others, as its obvious youre no good at it.

if you think giving everyone a gun is the answer to gun violence, well.. i doubt theres even a word to describe such stupidity.

somalia has no gun laws, no taxes and no government. sounds like heaven eh? - dont let the door hit you on the ass on the way out :p

This is what 3D movies do to the mentally unstable. A guy thought Batman was real, and many innocents died as a result. The Police were at the Tiki Movie Theater
and protected the Public from
78-year-old actor Fred Willard. Compare the facial expression of the "Batman Shooter" taken after his arrest, with the facial expression of the "Tucson Shooter" who nearly killed a Congresswoman. they appear remarkably similar - a strange wide-open, but glazed look to the eyes, a satisfied smirk, etc.

One might conclude that both were given the same drugs, whatever those could be, in a form of mind control more commonly associated with an intelligence agency, some of which happen to have university programs for recruiting students.

And even more strange is that Congress has the U.N. Small Arms Control Treaty under consideration and before this shooting, they lacked several votes for it to be enacted into law.

Operation "Fast and Furious" may have been the original false-flag operation to convince Congress to enact the U.N. gun confiscation treaty, but it failed, so perhaps this mass shooting is "Plan B" from the intel community.

This staged event/drill was a fraud/hoax. Watch the interviews, look at the photos, use your common sense. The same people and photos over and over again. Umm he was wearing a full bulletproof set up so had someone had a gun and was able to use it, the chances of it being that helpful in a tear gassed room are slim to none.
Such a lovable MK ULTRA smile. @ Anon6919 Compare the facial expression of the "Batman Shooter" taken after his arrest,

if you mean this picture..

http://imgur.com/l0UDW -

that wasnt taken after his arrest - even the one with him with red hair was taken from a dating site, before the event....

'Dark Knight' Shooting Leaves at Least 12 Killed, 50 Injured

At least 12 people were killed and as many as 50 injured when a gunman in a gas mask opened fire about 12:30 a.m. in a theater showing the new Batman (TWX) movie in Aurora, near Denver, Colorado.

Police found explosives in the home of a 24-year-old man arrested in a car at the shopping mall that housed the theater, Aurora Police Chief Dan Oates told reporters. The suspect, James Holmes, has no known ties to terrorists, although the investigation continues, said a federal official, who lacked authorization to speak publicly and asked for anonymity.

?We have no evidence of additional shooters,? Oates said. ?The gunman was found in a car in the parking lot with a rifle, handgun, gas mask.?

?The Dark Knight Rises? is rated PG-13 and there were many children at the sold-out show, including some in costumes, at the Century 16 Movie Theaters at the Aurora Town Center. One of the dead was a 3-month-old child, the Denver Post reported.

Cop In Transgender Shooting Had Record Of Alcohol Abuse, Violence

by Dylboz

How does a cop with multiple incidents of alcohol fueled misconduct stay on the job for 20+ years? It?s a good question, and one that many people are asking in the wake of a recent late-night incidence of extreme violence, wherein veteran Washington D.C. Police Officer Kenneth Furr wound up standing on the hood of his Cadillac firing his service weapon into a car full of transgender women he?d just rammed into, screaming ?I?m gonna kill all of you!? 3 people were injured, and one suffered multiple severe gunshot wounds in the attack. Furr blew a .15 BAC a full 5 hours after the incident, and was arrested on suspicion of DWI. He has since been ordered to stand trial for assault, though not the more serious but obviously appropriate charge of attempted murder. The good news is, he is being held without bond, so he will stay in jail until his next court appearance, due to the judge?s decision that based upon his record and the circumstances of the case, he presents a clear and present danger to society at large.

As I?m sure you?ve probably already guessed, Officer Furr has not yet been fired from his job, he?s on ?on administrative leave while the case was reviewed by internal affairs,? and will likely be represented by counsel provided at the police union?s expense.

But the real scandal is that this event never had to happen at all, even without taking into consideration Furr?s seriously checkered past or his department?s utter failure to address it. The confrontation began in a CVS drug store earlier that morning, where he got into a verbal altercation -allegedly over the rejection of his clumsy advances toward one of the victims- that ultimately climaxed with him brandishing his service weapon and threatening them (were he a mere mundane, such an indiscretion would see him charged with assault with a deadly weapon, criminal negligence, menacing, or any number of other crimes), but the situation was diffused by another off-duty cop working security at the store. However, rather than arresting Furr and calling in back-up to detain an obviously intoxicated and dangerous man with a gun, this Keystone cop gave his ?brother in blue? a free pass.

Even after the fact, in the midst of all the chaos Furr created, even after this horrific display of murderous intent, this callous disregard for public safety, this outrageous act of pointless mayhem and villainy, the Metro PD STILL saw fit to cover for their own guy by blaming the terrified and grievously wounded victims of ?their officer?s drunken, insane rampage. Not only was the integrity and sobriety of the victims and several witnesses questioned at the scene and in court, but the defense attorney even made a play to bring their gender into question, until the judge wisely put a stop to it. The following comment posted to an article in the local media appears to be from someone involved, due to its detailed and specific nature. If true, it not only reveals?a stomach turning disregard for the victims of this savage crime, and egregious insensitivity to their gender identity, but a complete betrayal of the public trust on the part of the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Police Department. To wit:

Imagine.

You are hanging with friends, and go to a convenience store to get cigarettes or whatever before you go home. In the store, you get hit on by an older guy who you have no interest in. After you tell him you aren?t interested, he further insults you by offering you money. And then more money. You aren?t having any of it. A male friend asks him to leave you alone ? nicely. You pay for your stuff and leave the store. The same nut job is outside and flashes a gun at your friend, threatening him. You leave in your car. Down the street, the nut job blocks the path of your car, screams ? I?ma kill you all? and opens fire with a semi-automatic glock. Glass is shattering. The back windshield explodes. You are cowering in the car, terrified that you will be killed. You are grazed by a bullet. Your friends are hit! Everyone is screaming! NUT JOB jumps on the hood of the car and keeps firing through the roof of the car ? bullets are flying!

Now?..

The MPD arrives. They take the gun from NUT JOB, smoke still coming out of the barrel. They gently lead NUT JOB away, and escort him to a cruiser. MPD have their own weapons drawn, and they are pointing at YOU! They are telling you to lie down, and hands up?they are yelling at YOU! They handcuff you all and take YOU away. Your friends who are shot are put in a wagon?they take you all to a hospital. At the hospital, they call you sir even though you are obviously a woman. They intimidate you. What were you doing? Why were you there? Where are the drugs? What have you had to drink? You are bleeding. You are scared. You are in shock. MPD puts you in a room the size of a closet, and come in to interrogate you. You are in the room for what seems like forever?a couple of hours. You are misgendered some more. You are insulted some more. You are intimidated some more. MPD brass is there?they bring a friend to talk to you, to get you to cooperate. You tell them what happened. And then they just let you go.

They don?t offer victim services. They don?t even apologize for their insults. They let you go.

Later, morons on the internet blame you for being in a bad neighborhood. Or soliciting sex for money. or somehow deserving of all that has happened. You are young. You are black. You are pretty. You must be to blame. You asked for it. Because, after all, you are transgender.

Imagine. In a world that is hateful and insane, you are always somehow at fault.

And to all of you out there who would criticize these young women?

SHAME.

Shame, indeed.
