Extended Video Shows Aftermath of Tamir Rice Shooting; Cops Gave No Aid, Restrained Sister

"This has to be the cruelest thing I've ever seen," says Rice family lawyer

From Reason.com:
Reporters for cleveland.com obtained extended footage of the killing of Tamir Rice. The full video demonstrates police officers' callous indifference to the boy they had wrongly shot. The two cops allowed him to bleed for several minutes; the first person to administer aid to Rice was actually an FBI agent who happened upon the scene while the officers stood around doing nothing.

Well, that's not quite right. They did something--they intercepted Tamir's sister as she ran to help him, knocked her on the ground, wrestled with her, held her down, handcuffed her, and placed her in the squad car a mere 10 feet away from her mortally wounded brother. And it was there that she waited, according to cleveland.com.

Cleveland police were responding to an emergency call claiming that Rice had a gun, although the caller made clear that the gun was very possibly a fake replica weapon. Police officials have insisted that the responding officers were unaware of that suspicion, however. Regardless, they shot him within moments of arriving on the scene.

Timothy Loehmann, the officer who killed Rice, had a record of mental instability and was previous forced to resign from a different police force for his "dismal" gun performance.

After shooting Rice, the officers failed to administer first aid for the subsequent four minutes. Eventually, an FBI agent administered aid. Paramedics arrived around minute eight.

Walter Madison, an attorney representing the Rice family, said of the video: "This has to be the cruelest thing I've ever seen."

I'm sure they did something else as well: called their union for instructions on what to lie. Which is why it was also so important not to allow anyone to see the victim before those instructions arrived.

Video Shows Cop Shoot Self While Fumbling With His Gun

Chris | InformationLiberation

A careless police officer fumbling with his gun while off-duty was filmed shooting himself in an elevator after a dinner-date with his wife. The cop is a 25-year-veteran on the force, yet evidently doesn't feel the need to use a safety.

Facebook Video Shows Cops Grab Man's Camera, Assault Him & His 58-Year-Old Mother

A video posted to facebook today shows two belligerent cops assault a man and his mother.

The man filming is Richard Phillips who was at his mother?s house today when two Wareham, Massachusetts police officers, Chandler and Verhaegen showed up at the door.

It is unclear as to why the officers were there, but they were questioning the mother and she responded by saying she was ?drinking strawberry milk and smoking a cigarette.?

Phillips clearly announces that he is filming as required by Massachusetts state law when interacting with police.

However, this does not stop officer Verhaegen from barging in and grabbing at Phillips? camera.

During the forced entry into the house, the officers struck Phillips? mother in the face.

Phillips then dials 9-1-1 to report to the uniformed gang members that there are uniformed gang members at his house.

About halfway through the video, officer Chandler is seen holding his foot against the door, not allowing Phillips? mother to shut it.

At this point the officers state that they are not there for an arrest which could make the unauthorized entry into the house, illegal.

The Free Thought Project has contacted the Wareham Police Department and they have declined to comment on the incident. We have also reached to Richard Phillips but have yet to receive a reply.

Video Shows Cop Assaulted Fox News Anchor, Lied About Arrest

Chris | InformationLiberation

Video obtained through a FOIA request shows an officer lied when he claimed Fox News anchor Gregg Jarrett postured like he was going to "launch himself" at him and repeatedly yelled "f*ck you" at him to justify his violent arrest of the TV host on May 21st.

Here's what the cop wrote in his report as reported by Gawker:

While [medical personnel] began to evaluate Jarrett, he looked at me in the doorway and stated, ?This is all of your fault.? I asked what was, and Jarrett responded, ?This is your fault.? I told Jarrett that this was his fault he was where he was. Jarrett then became visibly agitated (angry, upset), his body became rigid and he leaned forward like he was going to jump up on his feet or launch himself off of the bench, and yelled ?Fuck You? and stated ?Fuck You? again. Jarrett stayed at an agitated level and in the posture like he was going to jump up at any moment.
The officer goes on to allege that Jarrett ?grabbed my left arm and I broke his grip? before he slammed the anchor into the wall and threw him onto the floor. Due to the camera?s angle, it?s unclear whether Jarrett actually grabbed the officer?s arm. It?s certainly not true, in any case, that Jarrett twice yelled ?fuck you.?
It's clear from the video Jarret didn't do anything to justify the cop's outrageously violent outburst. If he laid his hand on him it was at most the gentlest of taps, as you can see from the video when the cop yanks his arm he's putting up zero resistance as the cop throws him around like a rag doll.

Let this be a lesson to the state's loyal servants: no one is safe in a police state.

Here's a comment posted elsewhere about this incident by a cop: "For what it's worth, I'm very tenured in law enforcement. The helmeted
officer "baited" the guy into standing up, moved into the guy, and then
wants to claim the guy touched him."

Interestingly, the charge is for "obstructing legal process", rather than for being intoxicated in public (which probably means that Jarrett was not drunk to begin with) or for assault on officer.. I really wonder how obstruction would apply.

unlike cops,(most cops hide behind each other and most news covers for the cops) most news is using yellow journalism againest their own. read some of the different news stories and see for yourself . believe none of what you hear and half of what you see.

Video Shows Cops Slam Man's Head Into Wall, Mace Him After He Stumbles To Ground, Laugh About It

Chris | InformationLiberation

Disturbing video has surfaced of police officers throwing a man into a wall, then macing him after the stumbles to the ground in a disorientated stupor. The cop who maced the man gets a big smile on his face, then the cops together are seen laughing as the man is lying on the ground maced with his face and head smashed up. The victim said he had brain injuries, chipped teeth, and was left with a permanent lump on the back of his head from the assault. Nothing happened to the police involved as the man says he couldn't find his lawyer who had the video for two years.

After posting the video to YouTube the officers involved were just put on paid leave. The police chief said they were not aware of the incident until the video was posted to YouTube, but they're conducting an "investigation."

Here's the victim, Michael Bergeron, Jr.'s account of what happened as posted to YouTube:

"charged with a dwi and tried explaining that I wasn't drunk and they could be out catching actual criminals. then after being in the cell for a while waiing for a bail bonds man I was taken out and brought in the booking room to call for a ride. after calling a ride I was told I could take my phone that I called from and my wallet. as soon as I greabbed my wallet from the table he officer with the glasses came at me saying he never told me I could take my stuff and choked me against the wall then tried to grab the wallet from my pocket. once he got the wallet and my phone this is what happened. there was no lawsuit made due to the fact I found a lawyer and the lawyer took the tapes and disappeared for 2 years until I finally tracked him down and go it back but now I think its to late to do anything with it even though I have a permanent lump on the back of my head chipped teeth and brain injuries but talking to a lawyer soon well see what happens."

Video Shows Cop Punch Mentally Ill 14-Yr-Old Girl In The Face

A newly released footage from a surveillance camera inside a Florida mental institution for teens captured a police officer punching a 14-year-old girl in the face.

The incident took place at the Citrus Center for Adolescent Treatment Services - a 28-bed locked facility in Pembroke Pines that houses girls and boys suffering from emotional problems, substance abuse and psychological disorders.

Broward County Chief Assistant Public Defender Gordon Weekes Jr. saw the surveillance video from the April incident when he was assigned to represent the 14-year-old.

The teen involved in the altercation with police has been charged with resisting arrest with violence, disorderly conduct, and criminal mischief. However, Weekes insists that the officer used excessive force when he hit her, while his colleague dosed the girl with pepper spray.

And according to Weekes, the violent encounter in the hallway of the Pembroke Pines facility is just the tip of the iceberg.

According to his investigation into the mental institution, the results of which were outlined in a letter sent to the Department of Children and Families this week, the young patients housed in the hospital are being mistreated on a regular basis.

Shock Video Shows Police Forcibly Drawing Blood

Man screams "what country is this" as cops strap him down
Paul Joseph Watson

Shock video out of Georgia shows police strapping down citizens accused of drunk driving before using a needle forcibly draw blood as the victim screams, ?what country is this??

The policy of police obtaining a warrant to draw blood from those merely suspected of being drunk at a DUI checkpoint or a routine traffic stop has been in place for years across many states, but to actually see it in action is disturbing.

The clip shows individuals being strapped down on a padded table at the Gwinnett County jail. Even those who show no resistance whatsoever are forcibly restrained and have their heads pressed down by an officer using his elbow.

?We all are American citizens and you guys have me strapped to a table like I?m in Guantanamo f***ing Bay,? complains another victim of the blood draw.

Mike Choroski, the man seen screaming ?what country is this? as officers hold him down and take his blood without consent, is still awaiting trial, claiming that he is not guilty and there was no accident involving his vehicle.

?I?m a taxpaying American who refused something?.I refused to do this?.what happened to me in that room was unnessesary and nobody should have to do that,? said Choroski.

?Holding down and forcing somebody to submit to this is really intrusive in terms of that level of invasive procedure into someone?s body is ridiculous for investigating a misdemeanour,? Attorney David Boyle?told Fox 5 Atlanta, describing the forced blood draws as an ?unreasonable search? under the 4th Amendment.

Despite the fact that citizens can lose their drivers license for a year if they refuse a standard breathlyser test, cops can then get a warrant to forcibly draw blood, ?for every DUI stop, even if there?s no accident or injury.?

In Gwinnett County, Georgia police have carried out more than 100 forced blood draws since January.

?I?m stunned, I did not know that this was legal, I did not know they could take your blood without your consent,? said a Fox 5 anchor in response to the clip, opining that the process was a violation of the 4th Amendment.

Georgia is one of numerous states that enforce ?no refusal? checkpoints where police can forcibly draw blood. In 2005,?the Supreme Court ruled that it is not unconstitutional for the state to hold down Americans and forcefully withdraw blood.?A January 2013 ruling affirmed that a warrant must be obtained for the process, although police could dispense with the warrant requirement in an ?emergency?.

Video Shows Chase That Clearwater Police Say Didn't Happen

William R. Levesque, Times Staff Writer

TAMPA ? Clearwater police officials insist one of their officers ended a high-speed chase of Keith Williamson before the motorcyclist was killed in a Feb. 20 crash on the Courtney Campbell Parkway.

"When it was evident that the vehicle was not going to stop, (the officer) called it off," Clearwater police spokeswoman Elizabeth Watts told the Tampa Bay Times in a Feb. 22 story.

On Friday, Watts reaffirmed, "This was not a chase."

But the dashboard video in the unmarked Clearwater police car that tried to stop Williamson shows Officer Nicholas Giordano was right behind Williamson with his car's flashing blue lights and siren engaged just a second or two before the fatal crash.

The video appears to contradict statements by Clearwater police to media outlets in the days after the crash and shows that the chase may have violated the department's policy on ending pursuits that do not involve violent felonies.

Iraq Shows the Failure of Militarism and Socialism

by Jacob G. Hornberger

With the 10-year anniversary of the U.S. invasion of Iraq upon us, there are three things that I find particularly fascinating.

First, the people who favored the invasion have different rationales for why they favored the invasion. Some of them say it's because Saddam Hussein conspired with al-Qaeda to commit the 9/11 attacks. Others say it's because there were terrorists inside Iraq. Others say that it was to bring democracy to Iraq. Others say it was to find WMDs, including those that the United States furnished Iraq to help Saddam with his war against Iran. Still others say that it was to enforce UN resolutions.

It's as if the U.S. government placed a smorgasbord of rationales for invading the country before the American people and said, "To enable you to feel better about the massive death and destruction that U.S. forces are about to wreak on the country, we are providing you with a range of rationales on which you can base your support. You are free to take your pick."

Second, except for libertarians and a few liberals there has never been any big push for an official investigation to determine whether every one of those that rationales for invading Iraq was bogus, as a way to cover up what was nothing more than a classic U.S. regime-change operation.

Were the American people intentionally misled into supporting the invasion of Iraq? Was it a classic regime-change operation the entire time? Was the deep fear of terrorism generated by the 9/11 attacks misused to garner support for the operation? Alas, all too many Americans just don't want to know.

But that's not to say that the passage of time won't change that sentiment. For example, right now there is a criminal trial taking place in Argentina for crimes committed during the 1970s and 1980s. The criminal defendants are former government officials, including military officials, from various South American countries who are charged with participating in a coordinated killing campaign known as Operation Condor, an operation in which officials of the U.S. national-security state, especially the CIA, actively participated. While it has taken more than 30 years to bring the defendants to trial, at least it shows that officials who purportedly commit such crimes can never sleep easy no matter how much time has elapsed.

Third, while there are undoubtedly a few die-hards who claim that the invasion and multi-year occupation of Iraq converted the country into a paradise of freedom, prosperity, and harmony, I think it's safe to say that most Americans have arrived at the realization that Iraq is no different a place than when Saddam Hussein was in charge. Different faces but the same authoritarianism, torture, killing, violence, executions, and indefinite incarcerations without trial.

In fact, a strong piece of circumstantial evidence of how bad things are in Iraq is that not one single American neo-con and not one single American congressmen has taken his family on vacation to Iraq since the date of the U.S. invasion back in 2003. Indeed, not even President Obama dared to spend even one night in Iraq when he made one of his periodic unannounced visits to the country to see the troops.

Why are things such a mess in Iraq? Possibly because God has created a consistent universe, one in which immoral means beget bad results.

But there's another factor to consider, one that was detailed in an article entitled "Report Details Mistakes Made by U.S. in Improvement Projects for Iraq" in yesterday's New York Times. The article points out that the $60 billion in foreign aid to Iraq has essentially gone down a rat hole.

U.S. officials blame the failure of their "rebuilding" projects on poor planning and supervision. They just don't get it. The projects are nothing more than socialist public-works projects, no different from those in socialist countries. As such, they are inherently defective. Therefore, it's not a question of incompetency or inefficiency. Instead, the problem is that the Pentagon embraces socialism as the way to rebuild the countries it destroys. It fails to realize that socialism has never worked and will never work.

A fascinating insight into the military mindset was provided by former Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, who stated in that NYT article that the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq prevented the United States from dissuading Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki from making "bad decisions" and "going off a cliff." I can't help but wonder how exactly Panetta would have used those U.S. military forces to convince Maliki to do things differently. Of course though, what Panetta fails to recognize is that nothing, not even the threat of deadly force, can make socialism succeed.

The federal government is facing a perfect storm of messes arising from its domestic and foreign programs, including Social Security, healthcare, welfare, spending, debt, the dollar, the drug war, the war on terrorism, Afghanistan, and, of course, Iraq. Americans would be wise to question the welfare-warfare system itself rather than hope that U.S. officials will keep trying to make it work.

This war was about regime-change and business. I remember watching countries from all over the world argue about who was going to get the job of rebuilding Iraq. But the Iraqis would not stop fighting and it became too dangerous to do business in the country, so everyone left. Now the country is a shit hole thanks to the United States of America. I hope you're happy. Thank god we here in New Zealand saw the truth and did not get involved. This is why the constitution in America is dead because you have a government infiltrated and dominated by Zionists. Socialism has been a disaster for America since it was littered on us during the Progressive Jew Deal Era. All these occupations in the Middle East have been for Israel.

Shock Video Shows New Jersey Police Officer Deck Woman In Face

Chris | InformationLiberation

Backstory via NJ.com:

An internal investigation has been launched into a viral YouTube video that shows an Elizabeth police officer punching a woman in the face as he tries to break up a melee outside of a nightclub last weekend, officials said today.

The officer will remain on active duty while police investigate a 20-second YouTube clip, said Kelly Vence, a city spokeswoman.

Vence declined the identify the officer, and said the woman who was struck has not spoken to authorities. A police spokesman refused to comment on the incident.

In the clip, which has gained more than 11,000 views since it was posted on March 3, the officer is seen attempting to break up a fracas outside of Envy Night Club on North Broad Street. After walking away from a crowd of roughly 10 to 12 people, the officer grabs hold of a man in a black vest and shoves him to the ground. Once the man falls, a woman wearing a red dress appears to grab the officer?s arm, and he responds by punching her.

[...]Wayne Fisher, a former deputy director of the state Division of Criminal Justice, said the woman appears to have initiated the physical contact, and encouraged residents to wait for the entire story to come out before criticizing the officer.

A spokesman for Attorney General Jeffrey Chiesea declined to comment on the video, but referred to the state?s guidelines on use of force by police, which says officers may use physical force to defend themselves if they feel they are facing a legitimate threat.

I can't tell if she grabbed his arm in an act of "interference," or if the cop was moving to arrest her, at which point she grabbed his arm merely to balance herself and brace herself for his onslaught. Regardless, she sure as hell didn't attack the cop, at most she laid her hand on him, hardly what I would call a "legitimate threat," yet the cop wound up and decked her like his life depended on it.

Cops in Elizabeth New Jersey are douches so this criminal thuggish behavior of this one in the video is of no surprise. Of course most New Jersey citizens don't value freedom and usually are apologists for the police. The officer was trying to handle a whole group without backup. The video shows she grabbed the officer. At that point ,game on. You don't interfere with an officer making an arrest. I may done the same thing OR maced the whole gruop if they wouldn't MOVE BACK! Just shows the behavior of a bunch of drunk heathens outside a night club when they get ten feet tall and bullet proof. Hey smart ass 9883 maybe in your bizarro world he then should have shot her you fckn twerp. Oh yeah troll cop in other words fuck off.

Cellphone Video Shows Four Cops Beating Philly Motorist Charged with Aggravated Assault and Resisting Arrest

by Ed Krayewski

The video below purports to show what happens after two Philadelphia cops stop a motorist for allegedly ramming into a pole and driving off last week. Backup shows up about two minutes in, and then it's four of the city of brothelry love's finest subduing Marcus Warryton, the "suspect" (who does not appear to be charged in connection with the traffic violation). The Philadelphia Daily News reports, by way of an update that all but one officer (the one who? "struck" Warryton) are back on patrol:
During the struggle, police said, two officers suffered cuts and bruises, and another injured his neck.

At one point, Warryton allegedly reached for one officer's handgun, police said.

Warryton needed seven staples to close gashes on his head. He was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and resisting arrest.

Warryton's family said publicly that they believed that he was the victim of police brutality.

Presumably the portions of the police narrative that aren't on tape happened at some point before (and probably not after) the video. An Internal Affairs investigation was opened and in another Daily News article that asked whether cops used too? much force in the arrest, a police spokesman admits there are some "training issues" apparent from the incident:?

Police Arrest Man For Selling Booze to Minor -- Security Video Shows The Opposite

A POLICE STING nabbed a Brooklyn bodega worker for selling booze to a minor ? even though a security video shows the clerk refusing to do so, the Daily News has learned.

Before he realized the video would acquit him, Ismael Duran pleaded guilty to avoid spending time behind bars.

But now a bodega industry group is pressing the Brooklyn district attorney?s office to vacate the plea ? and to investigate the police officers involved.

?This kind of illegal activity is not going to fly,? said Fernando Mateo, spokesman for the Bodega Association of the United States.

?If we didn?t have the video, this guy would be screwed.?

Woman Shows Court Order to NYPD, Gets Punched in Face.

Chris | InformationLiberation

This is a good example of government in theory vs government in practice. The woman is waving a piece of paper (a "court order") at some heavily armed state goons, they respond by allegedly punching her in the face. (Here's another angle, it's not entirely clear.)

Regardless, all the laws in the world (like the constitution, for example) are completely irrelevant when it comes to armed agents of the state using violence against their subjects. They have the guns, they make the rules.

Government is the opposite of the supposed "law and order" it claims to represent, it's raw force exercised against unwilling subjects justified by the idea they're "representatives" and "public servants."

They're gang members with guns and stupid costumes who rule with an iron fist, nothing more.
