It took almost a month, but the young punk cop who tasered a 76-year-old man for questioning his questionable traffic stop has finally been fired, the Victoria Advocate reports.

The cop, 23-year-old Nathanial Robinson suspected 76-year-old Pete Vasquez of driving a vehicle with expired tags. In fact, Vasquez was driving a new car, all of which are exempt from having fresh tags, which Vasquez pointed out at the time he was stopped. Rather than check the law, Robinson responded by violently attacking and tasing his elder, throwing him to the ground and tasing him twice before placing him under arrest.

While the police chief criticized Robinson's actions at the time and said they would investigate, no details nor follow up was released until just yesterday. Here's an excerpt from their press release, which you can read in full here:

Chief Craig has announced the findings of the internal affairs investigation regarding Officer Nathaniel Robinson. Chief Craig has determined based on the evidence, that Officer Robinson violated three areas of policy and sustained allegations regarding violations of the following departmental policies.

1) Policy 0.216 - Conduct and Performance, Section 2.15
2) Policy 03.03 - Use of Force Section 1
3) Policy 0.0305- Arrest without a Warrant Section 3

Based on the findings of the administrative investigation, Nathaniel Robinson?s employment with the Victoria Police Department has been terminated.

Kudos to the police chief for doing what's right, including for faulting the officer for his false arrest.

Frankly, I find it abhorrent the mere idea a 23-year-old young punk could think a badge and a gun gives him the right to boss around a 76-year-old man because he has "expired tags."

It reminds me of a story about the late Steve Jobs. Jobs would buy a new car every six months to take advantage of a California law which makes you exempt from having to have a license plate for six months. Ever since I heard that story, I've thought about how any young punk rookie cop could pull over the great Steve Jobs and potentially put him through hell for not having a license plate, despite being entirely in the wrong.

The late H. L. Mencken believed government as an institution was a conspiracy devised by inferior human beings to rule over their betters. As he wrote back in the year 1919,

"All government, in its essence, is a conspiracy against the superior man: its one permanent object is to oppress him and cripple him. If it be aristocratic in organization, then it seeks to protect the man who is superior only in law against the man who is superior in fact; if it be democratic, then it seeks to protect the man who is inferior in every way against both."

As one who chronicles stories of government abuse, which is mostly carried out by low-grade morons such as officer Robinson, this strikes me as accurate.

Of course, in the case above, there's a good chance Robinson will be rehired, with back pay, once his moron protection agency, a.k.a. the police union, files an appeal to get him his job back.

This cop is recently graduated and I can guarantee he was briefed upon Supreme Court case Castle Rock v. Gonzales. In 2005 the SC ruled that it is NOT the duty of police to serve and protect. This court ruling is probably the underlying cause of the upward incidents of violence against the public. New cops know they will never be held accountable for harm, destruction of property or death when they dish it out. However, what happened here was there were too many crimes and gross ignorance of the law and firing the cop is probably a City decision to attempt to lessen the upcoming consequences when this man sues the cop and the City. Texas Game Wardens Prepare for War

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) has a newly minted SWAT team. To be sure, the agency maintains that this "cadre of specialty teams" will focus on search-and-rescue missions. However, the way Game Warden Cullen Stakes is dressed in the photo above makes it pretty clear that he's not getting ready to rescue people who have been stranded by floods, or have gotten lost in the woods.

Among the TPWD's specialized units is the "Scout Team," a group of 25 wardens who "have received a variety of training and can be used in border operations, dignitary protection, or any form of high-risk law enforcement, such as serving felony arrests or hostage situations," explains Texas Parks & Wildlife magazine.

"We can have a team anywhere in Texas in four hours, and that's the worst-case scenario," boasts Law Enforcement Special Operations Chief Grahme Jones. "A lot of times it's much faster."

For public consumption, the TPWD's einsatzgruppen are portrayed as kindly people who will pluck terrified children from rooftops during floods, or come to the aid of people whose boats have broken down. However, the agency's 532 wardens are "fully commissioned peace [sic] officers" who "have long assisted local authorities and state agencies," observes Texas Parks & Wildlife. In other words: They?re cops, which means they are agents of officially sanctioned violence.

Jones points out that in addition to looking for "game and fish law violations," wardens also "assist with community policing." The last is an anodyne phrase that should be terrifying to reasonably well-informed people.

The government that afflicts Texas is run by extravagantly punitive people with a penchant for criminalizing practically everything. Several years ago, this anti-social compulsion led the Texas Legislature to enact a measure that would literally make a felony out of telling a fish story: A participant in a fishing tournament who exaggerates the size of his catch could be sent to prison for ten years, and be fined up to $10,000.

Obviously, tournament organizers who offer cash prizes have a powerful incentive to prevent fraud of this kind, and thus can be trusted to enforce their own rules and disqualify cheaters. But this isn't satisfactory to the state's "Better living through official coercion" constituency, who eagerly seize on any excuse to expand the roster of offenses that could give rise to an exercise in police overkill.

Significantly, the sponsor of the "make a fibbing fisherman a felon" law, Texas state representative Dan Flynn (a Republican, natch) admitted that "everybody always exaggerates ... the size of their fish." This means that every time somebody drops a hook and then reels in a fish, he's a potential suspect -- and thus a worthy target for a pack of armored, heavily armed wardens eager to show off their newly acquired tactical skills.

Cops Shoot Texas Homeowner Dead After He Kills Intruder

A career criminal broke into a neglected-looking Far East Dallas home Thursday night thinking the homeowner had died and his belongings were there for the taking, police said.

But the homeowner, William Keith Hall, wasn?t dead after all. He shot the burglar, Jerry Wayne Hale, then stood over him in an alley with a gun in hand, police said. Hall told Hale, 30, that he wanted to shoot him again.

When police arrived, Hall pointed the 9 mm pistol ? which had stopped working ? at them and witnesses. Officers ordered Hall to drop his weapon and when he refused, they fatally shot the 57-year-old man.

Maj. Jeff Cotner of the crimes against persons division said Friday that responding officers didn?t realize in all the chaos that Hall was defending his home in the 10300 block of Sandra Lynn Drive.

But Cotner said Hall ?had plenty of opportunities to de-escalate? the situation.

?He was given plenty of notice, and he didn?t choose a path other than to confront officers,? Cotner said.

Police received a 911 call around 7:45 p.m. Thursday from a contractor working on a nearby house. The caller told police about the shooting and said that when witnesses got near Hall, he pointed a gun at them and ?tried to shoot? them. Cotner said Hall repeatedly tried to manipulate the gun?s jammed slide to fire it again, but to no avail.

Such a misleading headline - shame on you. Cops were in the right for a change. yeah right, i am sure the cops tell accurate stories after they kill the witness. cops will always cover their tracks in the most cowardly fashion. not a chance i believe their side of this. I had to read and re-read that a few times to make sure I was getting the story straight. Finally I just went to the article source.

Strange story with no winners, and I'm not sure what informationliberation is trying to 'prove' or demonstrate with this particular story.

It's not like he was some civic-minded patriot homeowner who was in his right mind. ...

In Texas they should just abolish the police. Most people in
Texas are self sufficient. Again in this story police are liars of course the police can say whatever they want and find witnesses to lie for them doesn't matter at the end they killed their victim. I hate police abuse with a passion, and there is MORE than enough, way more, that is sickening and bad, but I gotta agree with 8199, THIS instance, from the information, was not abuse. They didn't have a lot of choice and if the victims actions are described correctly, it's unfortunate but not in the same league as the other abuses documented here all the time. 97119, you've gone too far then. If you don't believe ANYTHING no matter what is reported, you are as bad as those idiots that when confronted with real police abuse (which is abundant) always chime in "I'm sure there is MORE to the story than this, they don't just taze/shoot/beat a man for no reason you know"

This is every bit as bad, not constructive, and pretty lame actually. Your comment is meaningless at that point. It would be another thing to say "it sounds legit this time, from what is reported, but this might not be all the evidence" but not a chance...eh?

The headline is from Fox News and it is factually correct. Oh sure, but misleading.

How about: "Police Kill Disturbed Man"

That seems factually correct as well. I suppose a nitpicker could charge that it makes the man sound like the agressor.

Hmmm. How about:

"Disturbed Man Dies Defending Self from Police"
"Police Shoot Killer"
"Man Defends Self, Killed by Police"

They're all factually accurate, aren't they?

Oh, wait that's the actual title. Hmmmm.....

See, all those titles I made up, and the real one as well, comprise examples of what is called "slant". The title tells you what to expect, and based on the actual title, what you expect is that the brute police killed a poor innocent homeowner, who was merely defending himself.

How about this:

"Police Forced to Kill Man Who Became Disturbed After Killing Intruder"

That probably would lead you to expect something more like what the real story seems to be.

@20138 It is extreme to say that I do not believe anything at all that is reported. But it is not extreme to say that I do not believe any story the way that they report it. They are masters at weaving the truth with lies. I will always question every story this regime pumps out. If that is just too much for you then, oh well, that is how I function.

Man Refuses To ID At Texas Border Patrol Checkpoint, Checkpoint Officer Says "Get The F*ck Out of Here" & Waves Him Through

A man driving through a border patrol checkpoint in Texas is asked whether he is an American citizen by a checkpoint agent, the man refuses to answer the question and says he has the right not to.

Despite the checkpoint officer's protestations, the man boldly asserts his rights and doesn't budge, even despite the officer's threats.

Eventually, the checkpoint officer breaks and tells him, "You know what, you look like you're an American."

"Very arrogant..."

"Get the f*ck out of here," the officer tells him.

"Go ahead," he says, finally waving him through.

Texas Cop Drags 77-Yr-Old Grandmother from Car for Refusing to ID

A local Texas police department is standing by an officer who dragged a 77-year-old grandmother out of her car for speeding after she repeatedly refused to provide her driver's license.

The entire arrest was caught on video by the Keene Police Department.

The woman, Lynn Bedford, of nearby Cleburne, was stopped on Aug. 19 for driving 66 mph in a 50-mph zone.

Bedford told Sgt. Gene Geheb that she had a bladder infection and had to go to the bathroom, but the situation quickly escalated when the officer asked several times for her identification and she refused.

[...]"This incident has been reviewed thoroughly by the Keene Police Department and the City of Keene Administration," Alberti said in a written statement. "All parties have concluded that Sgt. Geheb did not violate any state laws or department policies, and in fact was following department policy in regards to violators not providing identification."

Don't dare say this cop is a bad apple, the majority of police in this country act as this crook does, and their police chiefs defend them. Disband this criminal gang immediately.

While. Opinion about the 77yr old grandmother she should have been more in compliance especially when she knew she was driving over speed limit and then didn't have her proof of address right license which is another violation if she was black Spanish are younger she wouldn't probably have serviced without worst injury or death jesus by anyone who resist oficer of the law order especially when u in the wrong will be treated as suspension so before you breaking laws make sure you have appropriate information and ID jesus. Before you *obey* the laws you might want to have the appropriate information as to why something is a law. The only reason to give a criminal cop like this any sort of obedience is out of the full and complete awareness he is willing to murder you over a traffic ticket.

Texas Police Kill Unarmed Man Before Confiscating Witness Camera and Deleting Images

Police in Texas shot an unarmed man 41 times, then turned around and confiscated another man?s camera after he started taking photos and shooting video of the bloody aftermath.

Dallas-area cops then deleted the man?s footage before returning the camera four days later.

Now police from two agencies are vowing to do a ?complete investigation,? which, of course, means we will hear nothing more about the August 31 incident for at least several months.

But so far, the partial investigation has determined that Garland police officer Patrick Tuter lied in his initial report when he claimed that suspect Michael Vincent Allen backed his truck into the patrol car, causing the cop to fear for his life and leaving him no choice but to fire 41 times, meaning he reloaded at least once.

Miraculously, a 20-year-old unarmed woman who was sitting in the cab of the pick-up truck emerged unscathed.

According to the Dallas Morning News, Mesquite police officers confiscated the witness?s camera:

?From the time they yelled, ?Get out, get out,? they didn?t give him three seconds to get out,? Mitchell Wallace said, adding that he counted about 20 bullet holes in Allen?s truck.

Wallace and his wife were asleep when the gunshots began, but they quickly made it to the porch to see Allen?s passenger being pulled from the truck and a police dog jumping into the cab. The German shepherd bit Allen in the neck and jaw area and dragged him out of the truck and onto the pavement, Wallace said.

Police officers pulled the dog off, flipped Allen on his stomach and handcuffed him before checking his pulse. Autopsy results are pending on the cause of Allen?s death.

Wallace took cellphone pictures and video after the shooting stopped, but he said Mesquite police confiscated the phone and deleted the video and pictures. The phone was returned four days later, he said.

Mesquite police are conducting the criminal investigation, which hopefully includes whether or not Tuter acted lawfully, and Garland police are conducting the internal investigation.

Residents of Texas Fire Area Must Register with Police

On Sunday, KVUE.com reported without explanation that residents of Bastrop, Texas, must register with the Bastrop County Sheriff?s Office before they will be allowed to re-enter their homes.

?Before Bastrop residents can re-enter, they must register and receive credentials to authorize their entrance to the residential area,? the ABC affiliate reported today. Residents ?will need a photo ID to verify residency.?

These Bastrop residents don?t need the cops to protect their property.

The article does not report what will happen to residents who do not produce ID or who enter the area without gaining permission from the state.

The wildfires that raced through Texas destroyed 1,554 homes, officials said Sunday. The figure is expected to increase.

On Saturday, residents confronted authorities after they were not allowed to re-enter their homes to assess damage and claim belongings.

Bastrop County Judge Ronnie McDonald told the media officials are trying to get residents back into their homes as soon as possible, but he didn?t know how long that would take. The registration program was announced late Sunday.

On Friday, Obama issued a major disaster declaration for Texas.

?Federal assistance can include grants for temporary housing and home repairs, low-cost loans to cover uninsured or underinsured property losses, and other programs to help individuals and business owners recover from the effects of the disaster,? YNN in Austin reported on Saturday.

Residents were asked to register last week so authorities could estimate a ?headcount.? Now they must register to return to their private property.

On Tuesday, September 6, Infowars.com reported that federal officials arrived at the scene in Bastrop and Smithville and assumed command of the operation.

Alex Jones was contacted on by firefighters who confirmed that FEMA blocked volunteer assistance and frustrated local attempts through the U.S. Forest Service and its maze of bureaucratic red tape. The firefighters and other volunteers report that the Forest Service did not respond to their efforts to clear federal hurdles put in the way of a response to the worst fire in Texas history.
