Texas Police Kill Unarmed Man Before Confiscating Witness Camera and Deleting Images

Police in Texas shot an unarmed man 41 times, then turned around and confiscated another man?s camera after he started taking photos and shooting video of the bloody aftermath.

Dallas-area cops then deleted the man?s footage before returning the camera four days later.

Now police from two agencies are vowing to do a ?complete investigation,? which, of course, means we will hear nothing more about the August 31 incident for at least several months.

But so far, the partial investigation has determined that Garland police officer Patrick Tuter lied in his initial report when he claimed that suspect Michael Vincent Allen backed his truck into the patrol car, causing the cop to fear for his life and leaving him no choice but to fire 41 times, meaning he reloaded at least once.

Miraculously, a 20-year-old unarmed woman who was sitting in the cab of the pick-up truck emerged unscathed.

According to the Dallas Morning News, Mesquite police officers confiscated the witness?s camera:

?From the time they yelled, ?Get out, get out,? they didn?t give him three seconds to get out,? Mitchell Wallace said, adding that he counted about 20 bullet holes in Allen?s truck.

Wallace and his wife were asleep when the gunshots began, but they quickly made it to the porch to see Allen?s passenger being pulled from the truck and a police dog jumping into the cab. The German shepherd bit Allen in the neck and jaw area and dragged him out of the truck and onto the pavement, Wallace said.

Police officers pulled the dog off, flipped Allen on his stomach and handcuffed him before checking his pulse. Autopsy results are pending on the cause of Allen?s death.

Wallace took cellphone pictures and video after the shooting stopped, but he said Mesquite police confiscated the phone and deleted the video and pictures. The phone was returned four days later, he said.

Mesquite police are conducting the criminal investigation, which hopefully includes whether or not Tuter acted lawfully, and Garland police are conducting the internal investigation.

My God...my God for the texes police officers whom confiscated the witness camera and delete the video trust and believe your conscious will not be set free you may have delete the camera but you can't delete the truth. That was witness by beloved father God whom sit high and up above only the truth will set you free not covered up lies and decent God have the last judgment not men. Witness: Someone let gunman inside Colorado movie theater [Video]

AURORA, CO -- A man who was at the Colorado movie theater where a dozen people were killed this morning, says he saw the gunman.

He says he thinks someone deliberately let the gunman inside once the movie started.

Here's what he told TV station KCNC this morning live on their newscast.

"As I was sitting down to get my seat, I noticed that a person came up to the front row, the front right, sat down, and as credits were going, it looked like he got a phone call. He went out toward the emergency exit doorway, which I thought was unusual to take a phone call. And it seemed like he probably pried it open, or probably did not let it latch all the way. As soon as the movie started, somebody came in, all black, gas mask, armor, and threw a gas can into the audience, and it went off, and then there were gunshots that took place."

I think, based on the way he had his apartment wired, he wasn't planning on returning to it. Since he didn't kill himself, and was wearing bulletproof gear, he apparently wasn't planning on dying at the scene. It seems to me that he was planning to escape to somewhere.

Twisted ethics of an expert witness

Stuart Greenberg was at the top of his profession: a renowned forensic psychologist who in court could determine which parent got custody of a child, or whether a jury believed a claim of sexual assault. Trouble is, he built his career on hypocrisy and lies, and as a result, he destroyed lives, including his own.

Earlier this year, a four-page document with a bland title, "Stipulation for Dismissal with Prejudice," was filed in a civil matter percolating on the King County Courthouse's ninth floor. Hardly anyone took notice. Most everyone had moved on.

But that document ? filed by lawyers tangled up in the estate of Stuart Greenberg, a nationally renowned psychologist whose life ended in scandal ? signaled the end of a tortuous undertaking.

Greenberg had proved such a toxic force ? a poison coursing through the state's court system ? that it took more than three years for lawyers and judges to sift through his victims and account for the damage done.

For a quarter century Greenberg testified as an expert in forensic psychology, an inscrutable field with immense power. Purporting to offer insight into the human condition, he evaluated more than 2,000 children, teenagers and adults. His word could determine which parent received custody of a child, or whether a jury believed a claim of sexual assault, or what damages might be awarded for emotional distress.

At conferences and in classrooms, in Washington and beyond, he taught others to do what he did. He became his profession's gatekeeper, quizzing aspirants, judging others' work, writing the national-certification exam. His peers elected him their national president.

But his formidable career was built upon a foundation of hypocrisy and lies. In the years since Greenberg's death, while court officials wrestled over his estate, The Seattle Times worked to unearth Greenberg's secrets, getting court records unsealed and disciplinary records opened.

Those records are a testament to Greenberg's cunning. They show how he played the courts for a fool. He played state regulators for a fool. He played his fellow psychologists for a fool. And were it not for a hidden camera, he might have gotten away with it.

I'm annoyed by this quote for two reasons but only one of them pertains to the content in the article.

The first cause for my annoyance with this quote is the sentence structure. Couldn't the courts, state regulators, and his fellow psychologists, simply have been played as "fools?"

My second reason for being annoyed by this quote is due to the suggestion, that these people were "played." If they went along with Greenberg's findings -- I would just consider them "fools."

Giving the state authority to decide on child custody issues, is a dangerous endeavor, that should be halted. The entire process is a flawed one, that has little, if ever, anything to do with, considering the best interest of a child.
