Video Shows Cop Assaulted Fox News Anchor, Lied About Arrest

Video obtained through a FOIA request shows an officer lied when he claimed Fox News anchor Gregg Jarrett postured like he was going to "launch himself" at him and repeatedly yelled "f*ck you" at him to justify his violent arrest of the TV host on May 21st.

Here's what the cop wrote in his report as reported by Gawker:

While [medical personnel] began to evaluate Jarrett, he looked at me in the doorway and stated, ?This is all of your fault.? I asked what was, and Jarrett responded, ?This is your fault.? I told Jarrett that this was his fault he was where he was. Jarrett then became visibly agitated (angry, upset), his body became rigid and he leaned forward like he was going to jump up on his feet or launch himself off of the bench, and yelled ?Fuck You? and stated ?Fuck You? again. Jarrett stayed at an agitated level and in the posture like he was going to jump up at any moment.

The officer goes on to allege that Jarrett ?grabbed my left arm and I broke his grip? before he slammed the anchor into the wall and threw him onto the floor. Due to the camera?s angle, it?s unclear whether Jarrett actually grabbed the officer?s arm. It?s certainly not true, in any case, that Jarrett twice yelled ?fuck you.?

It's clear from the video Jarret didn't do anything to justify the cop's outrageously violent outburst. If he laid his hand on him it was at most the gentlest of taps, as you can see from the video when the cop yanks his arm he's putting up zero resistance as the cop throws him around like a rag doll.

Let this be a lesson to the state's loyal servants: no one is safe in a police state.

Here's a comment posted elsewhere about this incident by a cop: "For what it's worth, I'm very tenured in law enforcement. The helmeted
officer "baited" the guy into standing up, moved into the guy, and then
wants to claim the guy touched him."

Interestingly, the charge is for "obstructing legal process", rather than for being intoxicated in public (which probably means that Jarrett was not drunk to begin with) or for assault on officer.. I really wonder how obstruction would apply.

unlike cops,(most cops hide behind each other and most news covers for the cops) most news is using yellow journalism againest their own. read some of the different news stories and see for yourself . believe none of what you hear and half of what you see.

NYPD Arrest Man for Video Recording Cops during Traffic Stop, Claiming Phone Could have been Gun

New York City police arrested a man for video recording them with an iPhone, using the laughable old lie that the phone could have been a gun, even going as far as claiming an NYPD cop had been shot by a kid with his phone.

Not only has there never been a single reported instance of a phone being used as a gun in the United States, the only evidence that it ever existed appears in a Youtube video out of Europe using a bulky, outdated phone large enough to contain four bullets.

Nevertheless, Will Paybarah ended up spending 13 hours in jail on charges of ?resisting arrest, obstruction of justice, and criminal mischief.

Canadian Police Arrest Man for Photographing Cop Car as Daughter Records Chilling Scene

A Canadian man receiving a parking citation in downtown Montreal decided to step out of his car and take a picture of the police car.

He ended up getting beat up, handcuffed and arrested.

All while his 17-year-old daughter video recorded the incident.

Cops Hold Children At Gunpoint For Climbing On School Roof, Rough Them Up, Arrest Them, School Defends Actions

When three middle schoolers climbed on top of the roof at their local middle school during off hours, they didn't think they'd end up stuck up at gunpoint by police officers aiming assault rifles at them ordering them to submit, but that's just what happened at Port Charlotte Middle school in southwest Florida.

Mike Riley, Charlotte County Public Schools Spokesperson justified the police's response by saying the children "knew they shouldn't have" climbed on the roof, "I don't care if they're in kindergarten or if they're seniors in high school, they know the rules."

"I really can't speak for law enforcement, but with the incident that happened, the murder of Sergeant Wilson, I'm sure when those guys respond to a call that there are three individuals on a roof of a school, they're nervous when they get there now."

Indeed, that same "nervousness" is what drove Officer Daniel Alvarado of San Antonio?s Northside Independent School District Police to shoot and kill 14-year-old Derek Lopez after he got in a scuffle with a fellow student, Derek fled from the cop rather than submit, and he paid for it with his life after Alvarado gunned him down out of "fear for [his] own safety."

That same nervousness is no doubt what drove this unnamed cop's actions in a recent incident out of Aurora, Colorado in which cops shut down a road searching for a bank robber. They ordered everyone out of their cars one by one and held them at gunpoint, video from the local news showed a police officer with a shotgun sticking up a child with his finger ready to pull the trigger.

Rule number one of gun safety is never point your gun at something you don't intend to shoot. I guess if you're a cop and you're "nervous" everyone is fair game. No wonder Antonio Buehler says cops are cowards.

Cop Flips Out On Teen Video Recording Him Making An Arrest, Arrests Him & Falsely Charges Him With Resisting & Obstruction

A Leland, North Carolina police sergeant John Keel was caught on his own dash cam video flipping out on a teenager for legally video recording him making an arrest with his cell phone outside a Buy & Go gas station.

After verbally harassing and threatening 19-year-old Gabriel Self, Keel arrested him and charged him for obstructing and resisting.

WECT reports Keel has been suspend for 30 days without pay, and all charges against Self were dropped.

Unfortunately, the cop was not charged for filing false charges, which is a felony offense, nor assault for physically accosting him.

Boston Cop Shoves Videographer, Then Threatens to Arrest Him for "Battery On A Police Officer"

Being assaulted by a police officer is grounds for being charged with battery on a police officer, at least according to this Boston police "Sargent" caught on video intimidating and threatening a man for videotaping.

A hefty plainclothes sergeant from the Boston Police Department figured the best way to not be exposed on camera was to physically confront a videographer, shoving him with his belly and pushing him back while threatening to arrest him for felony assault on an officer.

This, of course, is another common practice used by police, ranking right up there with ordering a non-resistant suspect to ?stop resisting? while physically pummeling him.

?You touch me again and I will lock you up for assault and battery on a police officer,? the burly sergeant told the burping videographer.

The sergeant and another plainclothes cop who identified himself as Fabiano told Jay Kelly that he needed to move out of the area because there was a police investigation.

Meanwhile, a shirtless jogger trots right through their investigation while numerous cars also drive through in opposite directions in two lanes.

The level of criminality one has to be comfortable with to boldly threaten to falsely charge someone with a crime while simultaneously committing a crime is almost incomprehensible, yet the cop clearly thinks nothing of it, knowing full well he is being videotaped.

Does anyone out there actually think this man was "served" by these police officers?

Would anyone out there voluntarily pay these men to protect them?

This is the problem with the compulsory monopoly that is the state, there is absolutely no accountability because there is no one to "watch the watchers." When the man asks to speak to the cop's supervisor, he says, "I am the supervisor." While the bald faced liar's word is completely worthless, we'll will know what his "supervisor" and his supervisor's supervisor thinks based on whether or not the cop is fired and charged with intimidation.

Cleveland Police Run Fake Drug Checkpoints on Interstate, Arrest People Who Seek to Evade

MAYFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio -- Police are not allowed to use checkpoints to search motorists and their vehicles for drugs. So, in Mayfield Heights, officers are trying the next-best thing -- fake drug checkpoints.

Police gathered in the express lanes of Interstate 271 on Monday after placing signs along the freeway warning motorists that a drug checkpoint lay ahead.

There was no checkpoint, only police waiting for motorists to react suspiciously after seeing the signs. A Mayfield Heights assistant prosecutor says it's a lawful and legitimate tactic in his city's war on drugs.

"We should be applauded for doing this," Dominic Vitantonio said. "It's a good thing."

Civil libertarians and one of the people who was stopped and searched are skeptical. They wonder if officers were profiling motorists and whether anyone's Fourth Amendment right against unlawful searches and seizures was violated.

Wasn't there a court decision (last year, I think, in Oklahoma) that said that avoiding a checkpoint is not justification for a traffic stop? That may not apply to Ohio, but I think it would make a compelling case.

Pittsburgh Cop Arrests Man Video Recording him Making Arrest

A Pittsburgh police officer was already making an arrest when he turned to a man video recording him and decided to arrest him as well.

Nicholas Gerhold said he was attending the Kenny Chesney county music concert Saturday night when a fight broke out in the parking lot.

Police started ordering people to disperse but people apparently didn?t leave quick enough, which is when cops started making arrests.

Gerhold said he and his friend handcuffed and detained in the paddy wagon for 30 minutes before they were freed and informed they would receive citations in the mail.

Damn the Evidence, Just Arrest that 11-Year Old!

The parents of an 11-year-old Canfield girl cleared of false rape charges is suing the city, police department and investigators for $5 million, alleging investigators pursued the case because of political connections even after they learned the accusations were false.

The parents alleged in a lawsuit filed Tuesday in U.S. Northern District Court in Youngstown that Canfield Police Chief Chuck Colucci pressured investigators and juvenile prosecutors to pursue the case against the girl despite investigators believing that her three accusers were lying to get her in trouble.

Colucci ?in turn applied political pressure to Detective McGivern, demonstrating to McGivern that this prosecution was a personal priority of the chief?s that would affect McGivern?s career at the Canfield Police Department if he did not listen to? him.

The suit says police questioned the girl April 20, 2012 for about five hours without food, water or rest. ?

The girl was arrested April 24, rape charges were filed against the girl and she was taken to the Juvenile Detention Center ?without her parents even having a chance to say goodbye,? the suit alleges.

One of the accusers later told police they conspired to lie during the investigation, yet the case against the girl continued the suit says.

Federal Appeals Court Busts Police For Contempt Of Cop Arrest

Eleventh Circuit US Court of Appeals allows false arrest lawsuit to proceed against cops who arrested motorist for being up to no good.

A motorist who was less than cooperative when police performed a traffic stop on her property was vindicated Friday. A federal appeals court made it clear that taking a longer than expected time to produce identification and "being up to no good," was not grounds for arrest.

In an unpublished ruling, the US Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit allowed Gina Petithomme to sue the Miami-Dade, Florida police department over the treatment she received at the hands of officers on February 6, 2009. Officers Ronald Martin and Jesus Gonzalez had been dispatched to investigate a suspicious White Dodge with two black men inside at the corner of 148th Street and Northwest 10th Place. Before reaching that location, the officers saw a silver Nissan with a piece of white paper allegedly blocking the license plate. The Nissan was parked on private property.

Petithomme, a black woman, was inside the Nissan when officers came on her property to say they were investigating a suspicious vehicle.

"What was the description of the vehicle?" Petithomme asked.

The officers did not say they were looking for a white Dodge, and asked Petithomme to produce identification and for permission to search her vehicle. Petithomme refused the search. On a third request for identification, Petithomme asked if she could go inside her home to retrieve it. It was granted, and as soon as she left the officers began searching through the Nissan. She returned and upon being asked a fourth time, she said the license must be in her car. She finally found it.

"Here's my identification," Petithomme said, holding within Officer Martin's line of vision.

Enraged, Officer Martin arrested Petithomme on the spot, charging her with disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace. The officers said the woman's attitude showed she was "up to no good." The court of appeals disagreed.

"Plaintiff's questions directed towards the officers cannot demonstrate arguable probable cause for disorderly conduct," the court ruled in a per curiam decision. "Under Florida law, screaming obscenities at an officer is not sufficient to violate the statute, and thus, no reasonable officer could have concluded that asking an officer a benign question could constitute a violation of the statute."

Petithomme successfully argued her Fourth Amendment rights had been violated with an illegal search.

"Here, plaintiff and her vehicle did not match the descriptions or the location given by dispatch," the court found. "Thus, the only circumstances suggesting illegal activity was the white paper obstructing plaintiff's tag. The obstructed tag, however, is insufficient to lead a reasonable person to believe that evidence relating to this infraction would be found inside the vehicle."

Because official immunity cannot be granted to an officer who violates a constitutional right, Officers Martin and Gonzalez are now liable for damages in Petithomme's false arrest lawsuit.

VIDEO: Aussie Cops Assault Youth for Filming, Threaten Him With Arrest

Police in Parramatta, Australia do not like being filmed. When a young man happened upon a group of cops searching a black youth in what he believed was a random search, he took his camera out and started to film the police.

Filming police in Australia is entirely within the law, just last week the Sydney New South Wales Assistant Police Commissioner Mark Murdoch, commenting on a very public incident of alleged police brutality during a Mardi Gras celebration, criticized his officers for threatening a videographer who captured the disturbing video on tape, saying ordering the man to stop filming showed the "naivety" of the police officers involved. I guess word never made it around to the officers seen in this video, as they show just the same "naivety."

In this video, Australian police officers upon noticing they're being filmed threaten to charge the youth with "hindering," which is Australian police's catch-all go-to false-charge-of-choice in the same fashion as American police's charge of "interfering."

As two cops bandy about threats of "hindering," another officer by the name of "Senior Constable A. Loxley" starts to freak out and asks him, "Why are you filming?! Why are you specifically filming us?!"

"Because I can film."

"But you can't use our audio, I don't give you permission to use our audio."

"OK, I'll cut the audio out."

At this point two officers say they "intend to search" him, and "failure to comply with [their] request means you may be committing an offense, do you understand?"

"Recording you is not an offense, officer."

The youth says he "doesn't consent" to being searched without a parent or guardian, at which point the officer violently grabs him, the youth responds saying "he's touching me, he's squeezing me, he's hurting me!"

The young man says in his own report the officer "hit the iPad I was using to record and twist[ed] my hands and arm to my back," but he managed to "slip out" of the cop's grip.

He then moves to record his friend being shoved up against a wall by police, his friend suddenly screams out in pain as the three police harassing the one youth appear to shove his face into a wall, which reportedly caused him to suffer "what doctors said was mild internal bruising" and a "swollen eye which will result in a black eye."

As this happens Constable Loxley is continually ordering him to put his camera down, when the youth hears his friend scream in pain, he yells out, "Oh my god! Oh my fucking god! Are you serious?!"

Constable Loxley lights up at the smell of blood because cursing is a so-called crime in Australia, finally the cop has some charges to threaten the youth with to get him to comply with his will!

"Watch your language or I'll arrest you for it! ... If you swear one more time in public, sir, I will arrest you for offensive language, do you understand?!"

Now that the cop has some "legitimate" charges to hit the youth with, he tacitly admits he's aware filming police is not a crime, and says "If you want to film, that's all well and good, but if you give us a hard time, I'll arrest you for offensive language!"

The cop again threatens to charge him with "hinder[ing]" and orders him to go across the street, to which the youth complies likely due to fear of the offensive language charge. After his friend is released, seemingly without any charges, he joins with him on the other side of the street. As they go to leave they approach Constable Loxley and ask to get his name.

"Go away!" Constable Loxley grunts out before he seemingly swipes at the youth, jostling his camera.

"Take the thing away now! If you stick that in my face one more time! Get it out of my personal space! Get out of my personal space, son! ... You've been filming me all the time, you haven't stopped!"

Eventually, Constable Loxley successfully bullies the youth into leaving after throwing around a plurality of threats, when another officer takes his own camera out to photograph the young man he said he posed and smiled for the picture, he then told the officer to please "put it on my Facebook."

"Put it on the police Facebook!"

"We will," the cops respond.

"Wave to the camera!" he tells them!

Here's how it went down in the young videographer's own words:

Bradley and I were just chilling in Parramatta across from the station (Opposite side of Westfield where Hungry Jacks is)
Two police officers in a car stopped and asked us what was in our bags (They looked like Goon sacks but they were really just popcorn in silver bags) *see pic*
They were like "Yeah, alright" and drove off.

A couple of minutes later we saw the same cops on foot approaching a random person walking up the street and demanding to search them .. once completed they went on to search another person... they were both just casually walking up the street being harassed by these cops..

Brad walked over to the second guy getting searched and told him to pull out his phone and start recording as it is COMPLETELY legal to record police officers in public areas.

He did.. The police noticed I was recording the whole thing and started asking questions and telling me to stop the recording (even though it is completely legal)
As I was verbally fighting back, the cops demanded to search me.

But remember, as always, I "Don't consent to searches"

The officer hits the iPad I was using to record and twists my hands and arm to my back (which I slipped out of)

Suddenly, Brad gets pushed to the wall and shortly after they hit his head against a brick wall leaving him with what doctors said was mild internal bruising, swollen eye which will result in a black eye (Sucks, 2 days before Good Life Festival)
The Police took a photo of me (I obviously posed for it with a big smile on my face) as they said I was free to go as I hadn't committed an offence.. (except for swearing in public, as you will hear in the video)

We went to Blacktown LAC to speak with Sergeant Leigh Smith who confirmed we did not commit an offence and also verified that it IS legal to film officers in public (or anyone for that matter)

It is something how criminal the cops are not just in America but also Australia. I guess the police commissioner can criticize these officers for their illegal acts so it makes it look like he is doing his job and he cares. They have nothing on the bloke filming, or his mate, so they start roughing up his mate to provoke one or both of them into doing (or, apparently, saying) something they can use to justify an arrest. Classic maneuver, used in the States all the time at demos. Swearing in public is a arrestable crime ?

Vermont Farmer Crushes 7 Police Cars With Tractor Over Pot Arrest

A Vermont farmer used his tractor to crush seven Orleans County Sheriff?s Department squad cars on Thursday because he was angry about being arrested on marijuana charges last month.

?It?s more than half our fleet,? Chief Deputy Sheriff Phil Brooks explained to the Burlington Free Press. ?We have 11 cars.?

Roger Pion, 34, allegedly flattened five marked cruisers and two unmarked vehicles, including a van used for transporting prisoners. A car belonging the the department?s bookkeeper was also damaged as the tractor pushed it to clear a path to the squad cars.

?It was a massive tractor,? Newport Express Publisher Ken Wells told the Free Press. ?It has four six-foot tandem wheels on the back. It was red. It must be at least a 15-ton tractor.?

?It?s pretty much the biggest tractor you can get,? Police Chief Seth DiSanto agreed.

The suspect ditched the tractor about two miles from the crime scene and then fled on foot before being apprehended, according to WCAX. He has been turned over to the Vermont State Police.

Pion was previously arrested on July 3 for marijuana possession and resisting arrest. His court date had been set for next Tuesday.

Police Arrest Woman For Filming Them, Take Phone Out Of Her Bra, Claim That It Must Be Kept As 'Evidence'

In the comments to our story last week about false arrests for filming police, someone pointed to yet another such story of a woman who was arrested for filming the police. Even worst, the police confiscated her phone -- which she had shoved into her bra -- and then have refused to return it, claiming that it's now "evidence" of a crime.

If there's any "good" news in this story, it's that the police chief immediately ordered an investigation into the officer who did this, and noted that it's legal to film police. Still, the details of what happened seem pretty crazy. As reported by the New Haven Independent (linked above):

?Stop filming right now!? Rubino ordered her.

?No this is my civil right,? she recalled saying. Gondola said she?s ?always on all these news sites? reading about recent cases in which cops got in trouble for snatching cameras from citizens.

?Well, I have to right to review it,? Rubino allegedly told her.

Gondola claimed she remained ?very quiet and calm? and ?pressed play? to show him the video. ?But I didn?t let him touch my phone.?

Rubino?s response, according to Gondola: ?It?s evidence of a crime. You need to give it to me right now.?

Her response to his response: ?I?m not giving you the phone.?

His next response: ?If you don?t give me the phone, you?re getting arrested.?

So Gondola slipped the phone into her bra. Rubino ?twisted my hand hard behind me and put the cuffs on me. Really tight. My wrists are black and blue,? she said.

Rubino next ordered a female officer to pat her down and commanded, ?I want that phone out of her bra.? The woman removed the phone. Rubino ?put it in his pocket,? Gondola said.

The article, written a few days later, notes that later on she demanded the phone back, and was once again told that it was "evidence" and that the only way she can get her phone back is to wait until she goes to court, and asks the judge to return the phone. At the very least, it sounds like she will be without her phone for well over a week. In these days, when phones are pretty central to a lot of people's lives, that can be a pretty big hardship... all for doing something perfectly legal: filming the police on duty.

Cellphone Video Shows Four Cops Beating Philly Motorist Charged with Aggravated Assault and Resisting Arrest

The video below purports to show what happens after two Philadelphia cops stop a motorist for allegedly ramming into a pole and driving off last week. Backup shows up about two minutes in, and then it's four of the city of brothelry love's finest subduing Marcus Warryton, the "suspect" (who does not appear to be charged in connection with the traffic violation). The Philadelphia Daily News reports, by way of an update that all but one officer (the one who? "struck" Warryton) are back on patrol:

During the struggle, police said, two officers suffered cuts and bruises, and another injured his neck.

At one point, Warryton allegedly reached for one officer's handgun, police said.

Warryton needed seven staples to close gashes on his head. He was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and resisting arrest.

Warryton's family said publicly that they believed that he was the victim of police brutality.

Presumably the portions of the police narrative that aren't on tape happened at some point before (and probably not after) the video. An Internal Affairs investigation was opened and in another Daily News article that asked whether cops used too? much force in the arrest, a police spokesman admits there are some "training issues" apparent from the incident:?

Police Arrest Man For Selling Booze to Minor -- Security Video Shows The Opposite

A POLICE STING nabbed a Brooklyn bodega worker for selling booze to a minor ? even though a security video shows the clerk refusing to do so, the Daily News has learned.

Before he realized the video would acquit him, Ismael Duran pleaded guilty to avoid spending time behind bars.

But now a bodega industry group is pressing the Brooklyn district attorney?s office to vacate the plea ? and to investigate the police officers involved.

?This kind of illegal activity is not going to fly,? said Fernando Mateo, spokesman for the Bodega Association of the United States.

?If we didn?t have the video, this guy would be screwed.?

Caught On Tape: Officer Threatens to Make Up Evidence After Arrest of Innocent Men

SEATTLE -- A Seattle police officer has been caught on tape talking about "making up" evidence while two wrongly arrested men sit in jail. It's the latest shocker uncovered by a KOMO 4 Problem Solver investigation into the Seattle Police Department's vanishing dashcam videos.

Josh Lawson and Christopher Franklin filed a claim against the city Monday for excessive force and wrongful arrest.

The two were arrested at gunpoint on November 16, 2010 and said the incident changed their lives forever.

"I thought I was gonna die," Lawson said about that night.

Franklin said it was "the most terrifying thing I've ever experienced."

Both men said they suffered facial bruises and swelling after one was kicked and the other man-handled into the pavement while being arrested. But then listen to what an officer says on an audio recording after he takes the two to holding cells: "Well, you're going to jail for robbery that's all."

You then hear Franklin ask, "for robbery?" And the officer responds, "Yeah, I'm gonna make stuff up."

Franklin believed him.

"He showed me that he has the power to do whatever he wanted that night," he said. "He has a badge, and all we can do is nothing."

The officer should have been fired, no just reprimanded. They were exonerated, meaning they did nothing wrong. The Sargent also needs to be fired. They are CLEARLY NOT PUBLIC SERVANTS any longer!!!! Fear fear fear. Obey obey obey.

We fabricated drug charges against innocent people to meet arrest quotas, former detective testifies

A former NYPD narcotics detective snared in a corruption scandal testified it was common practice to fabricate drug charges against innocent people to meet arrest quotas.

The bombshell testimony from Stephen Anderson is the first public account of the twisted culture behind the false arrests in the Brooklyn South and Queens narc squads, which led to the arrests of eight cops and a massive shakeup.

[...]Anderson worked in the Queens and Brooklyn South narcotics squads and was called to the stand at Arbeeny's bench trial to show the illegal conduct wasn't limited to a single squad.

"Did you observe with some frequency this ... practice which is taking someone who was seemingly not guilty of a crime and laying the drugs on them?" Justice Gustin Reichbach asked Anderson.

Citizen Recording Of Police Proves Officer Lied About Arrest

Reason.com alerts us to an LA Times article covering a recent trial in which a private citizen's cellphone video proved officers lied about an arrest, resulting in the acquittal of a young man accused of carrying a concealed firearm.

According to police reports after the arrest:

Deputy Levi Belville testified that he saw Gipson in the side yard run and toss a loaded revolver onto the roof of a detached garage. The deputy said he ordered Gipson to stop and that the suspect walked back to Belville, who then detained him.

However, the cellphone video depicted a very different chain of events:

The footage did not show Gipson running, tossing a gun or walking back to the deputies to be detained. Instead, the grainy video showed deputies arriving and walking past Gipson, who was standing against a wall of the house near the rear of the yard. One of the deputies, Raul Ibarra, returned to Gipson and escorted him to the back of the yard.

This new footage led to a change in the way the officers describe the events. This inconsistency in the officer's testimony led jurors to acquit Gipson of the charges.

Jurors said they did not find Belville's trial testimony credible and believed he changed his account of the arrest after being confronted with the video. They also questioned why a deputy with more than 10 years' experience would walk past a man who had just thrown a gun without immediately detaining him or warning colleagues.

Even as police and governments around the country are fighting the practice of the public recording the actions of the police, stories like this show the power that such recordings have in administering a fair justice system. Without this video, the trial would have been based entirely on the officer's testimony of events rather than on hard evidence.

I will close with a few words from Gipson himself in response to these events, "I never thought an officer would lie."

Police arrest mom and leave her 10-yr-old son on the side of the road

WSB Atlanta reports:

FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. -- A Forsyth County mother said she is outraged that police left her 10-year-old son alone on a road while she was taken to jail.

She said she was arrested for stealing items she thought were abandoned.

[...] ?They put the handcuffs on her and put her in the car. I just stood there and then they left,? said Johnathon Samples.

?The police officer didn?t ask him if he needed help getting home. He didn?t ask if his father was going to come. They just left my son here unattended with no adult. He?s 10 years old,? said Samples.

ST. LOUIS ? Police officials fighting to keep the public from seeing records of their investigation of the 2006 World Series ticket scandal are breaking the law and flirting with contempt of court, a lawyer for the American Civil Liberties Union complained Wednesday. [....]

Later, after Alex is released from prison, Billyboy (along with Dim, who like Billyboy has become a police officer) rescue Alex from a mob, then subsequently beat him.
Dim:
An idiotic and thoroughly gormless member of the gang, persistently condescended to by Alex, but respected to some extent by his droogs for his formidable fighting abilities, his weapon of choice being a length of bike chain. He later becomes a police officer, exacting his revenge on Alex for the abuse he once suffered under his command.
