Cop Trying to Kill the Family Dog, Kills Woman Instead, In Front of her Husband and 4-year-old Son

By Matt Agorist

Burlington, IA ? A Burlington Police officer, supervising a domestic dispute, shot and killed a woman in front of her house Tuesday morning.

The victim has been identified as 34-year-old Autumn Steele. The Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation (DCI), who is leading the investigation,?has not released the name of the officer who shot her.

There is no indication that Steele or her husband were armed or that they posed a threat to the officer involved.

According to court records Steele was arrested Monday night on a misdemeanor charge of domestic abuse. She was released from the jail and told that she?could not return to the home without?a police officer escort in order to gather her belongings.

Steele then returned to the home with her police officer escort, the same person that would later kill her.

As her husband, Gabriel Steele, was loading up their 4-year-old son, Steele came out of the house and got into an altercation with him. She was followed by the dog.

When the escort officer saw the disturbance he went to break it up. Witnesses say that at this time the dog was being playful, but apparently still threatened the officer which caused him to draw his pistol and begin shooting.

One of the shots fired struck Steele in the chest.

?The dog startled the officer. The officer began shooting at the dog. The officer was still shooting when he fell down in the snow,? one witness told The Hawk Eye Newspaper.

?It appeared he was shooting at the dog when (the officer) fell to the ground. It?s my belief the woman was shot accidentally,? said another witness.

Seconds after the shooting another Burlington officer arrived on the scene?and both officers?tried to calm Gabriel Steele, who wanted to help his wife.

?I?m a combat veteran,? he screamed. ?What are you guys (police) doing? Let me help.?

Steele was eventually taken by ambulance?to the Great River Medical Center where she later died of the gunshot wound to the chest.

This is a tragic case of police incompetence. The very government agency who claims the authority to carry deadly weapons into all situations often disregard this heavy responsibility and end up hurting those they ostensibly protect.

Something does not fit. Fell to the ground while shooting, and then already from the ground was still shooting and hit her in the chest?

Combat Veteran storms City Hall Cuntsel Meeting, Murders Everyone inside. Priceless. The stupid fucker. At least neglegent homicide. Glad it happened. Am I the only one to think the concept of 'domestic abuse',
in your own house, as applied in this case, is borderline perverted ?
Or how about
' could not return to the home without a police officer escort in order to gather her belongings' ??
I don't get it -
What where they 'protecting' her from ? Living ??
It was just a matter of time till this happened. If you discharge a weapon in an urban environment every 98 minutes in an effort to kill some hapless canine then human collateral damage will, will, will, eventually be a consequence. As a majority of homes with dogs also have children, I am am very surprised these same children haven't been killed by missed shots, ricochets, and in general just poor marksmanship. No doubt as the killing will be ruled "accidental" and "during the performance" of his so called duty the leo will face no consequences whatsoever. On the contrary, he will most likely get a promotion, a raise and a medal for valor or some-such.

Cops Shoot Texas Homeowner Dead After He Kills Intruder

A career criminal broke into a neglected-looking Far East Dallas home Thursday night thinking the homeowner had died and his belongings were there for the taking, police said.

But the homeowner, William Keith Hall, wasn?t dead after all. He shot the burglar, Jerry Wayne Hale, then stood over him in an alley with a gun in hand, police said. Hall told Hale, 30, that he wanted to shoot him again.

When police arrived, Hall pointed the 9 mm pistol ? which had stopped working ? at them and witnesses. Officers ordered Hall to drop his weapon and when he refused, they fatally shot the 57-year-old man.

Maj. Jeff Cotner of the crimes against persons division said Friday that responding officers didn?t realize in all the chaos that Hall was defending his home in the 10300 block of Sandra Lynn Drive.

But Cotner said Hall ?had plenty of opportunities to de-escalate? the situation.

?He was given plenty of notice, and he didn?t choose a path other than to confront officers,? Cotner said.

Police received a 911 call around 7:45 p.m. Thursday from a contractor working on a nearby house. The caller told police about the shooting and said that when witnesses got near Hall, he pointed a gun at them and ?tried to shoot? them. Cotner said Hall repeatedly tried to manipulate the gun?s jammed slide to fire it again, but to no avail.

Such a misleading headline - shame on you. Cops were in the right for a change. yeah right, i am sure the cops tell accurate stories after they kill the witness. cops will always cover their tracks in the most cowardly fashion. not a chance i believe their side of this. I had to read and re-read that a few times to make sure I was getting the story straight. Finally I just went to the article source.

Strange story with no winners, and I'm not sure what informationliberation is trying to 'prove' or demonstrate with this particular story.

It's not like he was some civic-minded patriot homeowner who was in his right mind. ...

"Humphrey (witness) also told Hall that police were on the way. The contractor told Channel 8 that Hall replied, ?Good, I?ll shoot them, too.?"

In Texas they should just abolish the police. Most people in
Texas are self sufficient. Again in this story police are liars of course the police can say whatever they want and find witnesses to lie for them doesn't matter at the end they killed their victim. I hate police abuse with a passion, and there is MORE than enough, way more, that is sickening and bad, but I gotta agree with 8199, THIS instance, from the information, was not abuse. They didn't have a lot of choice and if the victims actions are described correctly, it's unfortunate but not in the same league as the other abuses documented here all the time. 97119, you've gone too far then. If you don't believe ANYTHING no matter what is reported, you are as bad as those idiots that when confronted with real police abuse (which is abundant) always chime in "I'm sure there is MORE to the story than this, they don't just taze/shoot/beat a man for no reason you know"

This is every bit as bad, not constructive, and pretty lame actually. Your comment is meaningless at that point. It would be another thing to say "it sounds legit this time, from what is reported, but this might not be all the evidence" but not a chance...eh?

The headline is from Fox News and it is factually correct. Oh sure, but misleading.

How about: "Police Kill Disturbed Man"

That seems factually correct as well. I suppose a nitpicker could charge that it makes the man sound like the agressor.

Hmmm. How about:

"Disturbed Man Dies Defending Self from Police"
"Police Shoot Killer"
"Man Defends Self, Killed by Police"

They're all factually accurate, aren't they?

"Cops Shoot Texas Homeowner Dead After He Kills Intruder"

Oh, wait that's the actual title. Hmmmm.....

See, all those titles I made up, and the real one as well, comprise examples of what is called "slant". The title tells you what to expect, and based on the actual title, what you expect is that the brute police killed a poor innocent homeowner, who was merely defending himself.

How about this:

"Police Forced to Kill Man Who Became Disturbed After Killing Intruder"

That probably would lead you to expect something more like what the real story seems to be.

@20138 It is extreme to say that I do not believe anything at all that is reported. But it is not extreme to say that I do not believe any story the way that they report it. They are masters at weaving the truth with lies. I will always question every story this regime pumps out. If that is just too much for you then, oh well, that is how I function.

SWAT Team Kills Armed Homeowner in Dawn Drug Raid

by Phillip Smith

An armed West Virginia homeowner who confronted dawn police raiders with a rifle was shot and killed by State Police officers Wednesday. Richard Dale Kohler, 66, becomes the 18th person to die in US domestic drug law enforcement operations so far this year, and the third in less than a week.

According to the West Virginia Gazette, State Police spokesman Sgt. Michael Baylous said officers from the State Police special response team and DEA agents knocked on the door of Kohler's home at 6:05am. to serve a federal warrant. The newspaper described the special response team as "akin to a SWAT team."

Officers knocked on the door, Baylous said, but no one answered, so police "had to break down the door or forcefully open it somehow." Baylous gave no indication of the amount of time that elapsed between the initial knock on the door and police breaking it open.

When police break down the door, they saw Kohler pointing a rifle at them, Baylous said. The troopers opened fire, shooting multiple rounds and killing Kohler. Baylous said he did not think Kohler had fired his weapon, but it was still unclear.

Baylous said the warrant police were executing was part of a larger, ongoing drug investigation with multiple suspects. He would not comment further on the nature of the investigation, except to say that the DEA division involved was one that focused primarily on prescription drugs.

A neighbor told WSAZ TV that she had seen unusual amounts of traffic going to and from Kohler's home, but that she was surprised to hear he even had a gun.

"I mean, I can't see him just open fire like that, but you know when all that comes after you, you never know what somebody's going to do," Christina Murdock said.

Charlotte Cop Kills Dog, Nearly Shoots Pregnant Woman

Here is her story as posted to Facebook:

Last night around 9:40 an officer came to respond to a 911 call at my house... I was outside and opened the door and my 2 Pit Bulls came outside? They did not bark, growl, charge at the officer or show any sign of aggression towards him... The officer yelled at me to grab my dog... I am 7 months pregnant? I bent down in time to grab him from the hips but it was to late the officer had already fired a shot that grazed my female pit bull on her lip and hit my other dog at the neck... He instantly went down, Not to mention that the officer could have shot me too while I was holding my dog. This all happened at my property, two steps away from my door. My husband ran outside and started yelling at the cop and asked him why he shot my dog and the officer said it was because ?HE WAS A PIT BULL?... At this point I was on the ground holding Chino and telling him to cross over the rainbow bridge... My husband was running around the neighborhood looking for our injured pit bill... Once chino passed I started to tell the officers to please not to shoot my other dog that was able to get away from the officer.

I also have to mention that after some time I was put in an ambulance because I was hyperventilating and the medics said that my blood pressure was elevated due to the situation, I also feared that anything would happen to my unborn baby. They asked to take me to the hospital but I refused to leave my dogs side, especially because one was still missing and was scared that the officers might shot her again. My husband was able to find my injured dog and had to take her to the emergency vet and got some stitches on her lip.

The officer who took the shots disappeared after a while and I also have to say that the officers didn?t seem to show any concern or remorse about what they did, first there were like 10 police cars but after a short time they were leaving and only 4 or 5 officers stayed back, and it didn?t seem like a crime scene anymore because they were gathered around in a circle laughing and smiling. I don?t know if they were making fun of my husband because he was running around the neighborhood looking for my injured dog. They were also rude to my husband telling him that they were going to arrest him because he was being agitated because he couldn?t find our other dog and because now I was sitting in an ambulance fearing that something could happen to me or our unborn child. One officer even pushed my husband because he stepped over the crime scene yellow tape. They told him more than one time that they were going to arrest him but luckily my husband was able to avoid it. My husband has spent 8 years in the Marine Corps and has and idea how cops will find a reason to make an arrest.

I'm still in shock and not emotionally right after seeing my baby being shot and killed in front of me. My husband is not in his best mental state either and is doing whatever possible to find someone who can help us bring justice to our dogs. We ended up with veterinarian bills to get my other Pit Bull stitches and might have to take her back tomorrow because it?s almost been 24 hours since the shooting and she won?t eat or drink any water. I also had to miss work today because I?m not emotionally stable to function at work and I might not be able to be working tomorrow either. I also have to see my doctor to make sure that everything is fine with me and my unborn baby, because I have been felling a pressure on my stomach and haven?t been able to eat or sleep.

Today we have been calling lawyer offices and went to the police station trying to file a report directly on the officer and they said the statements we made yesterday would be sufficient and they couldn't give us a copy... They will not let us file a report against the officer who shot my two dogs. We tried going to the Sheriff?s office and they said they couldn?t help us either.

This is another perfect example of someone learning the hard way why you should never call the police.

Looks like they like to abuse people an animals on regular basis! Now they want to take our guns, no wonder no one feels safe anymore! a week ago I witnessed a situation where a woman had 2 pit-bulls run away from her home as she opened the door and they literately jumped and ripped another woman's dog into pieces...
As I took one pit-bull and slammed it back into her house, another by-passer did the same with the 2nd pit-bull, I closed the screen door and watched both dogs lick each others left-over blood stains from the dead dog...

What a specie of animals! I understand the cop being frightened by these animals, and I guess he heard and knows of stories of pit-bulls being unpredictable.

So many similar stories. Orders from high-up? Get over it. the NEW BOLSHEVIKS are firmly entrenched.

Alabama Man Kills Himself in Drug Raid

A Buhl, Alabama, man apparently shot and killed himself as members of the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office went to serve a possession of a controlled substance warrant last Sunday night. Randall Justin Roberts, 34, becomes the 46th person to die in US domestic drug law enforcement operations so far this year.

Citing police sources, the Alabama.com news portal reported that when deputies went to the front door, Roberts' father, Randall Floyd Roberts refused to let them enter even after they showed him their warrant. The elder Roberts was then arrested for obstruction and subsequently charged with resisting arrest when he struggled with officers.

Once in the house, deputies went to the bedroom where they believed Roberts was, but heard a single gunshot go off as they opened the bedroom door. The deputies retreated, removed his mother from the house, and then set up a perimeter around the house. More deputies responded to the call of shots fired, as did the sheriff's SWAT team, replete with "the department's Bear Cat (Armored Tactical Vehicle), Aviation Unit, K-9 and Paramedic."

The SWAT team gave itself a workout. It tried to contact Roberts using the public address system in the Bear Cat. It threw flash grenades and then tear gas grenades. It used a helicopter to provide cover while it "deployed assets." It used a telescopic TV camera to search rooms in the house. It used the drug dog to indicate that Roberts was in the rear bedroom -- the same one where the single shot came from.

After about two hours, SWAT team members entered the house and found Roberts dead in closet in the bedroom. A .22 revolver was found lying next to him.

It's not clear whether the warrant was a search warrant or an arrest warrant. Roberts had been arrested August 13 on drug distribution charges.

AZ SWAT Team Kills Man in Drug Raid Shoot-Out

by Phillip Smith

A Phoenix-area SWAT team shot and killed one man during a "dynamic entry" (break the door down) drug raid early Thursday morning after the raiders were met with gunfire. The as yet unidentified man becomes the 39th person to die in US domestic drug law enforcement operations so far this year, and the third one in the past week.

Police told ABC 15 News the raid in a Phoenix neighborhood was undertaken by the Surprise, Arizona, police SWAT team. Team members were met with gunfire from multiple sources as they attempted to make entry into the residence. They responded with gunfire of their own, killing one of the men in the house.

ABC 15 News reported that the purpose of the raid was unclear, but Policemag.com, which bills itself as a "community for cops," reported that police were serving a drug search warrant. It was also Policemag.com that described the raid as a dynamic entry raid.

There is no word yet on what happened to the other supposed shooters in the house, nor have police mentioned what, if anything, they found in the house. No police were injured in the raid.

Jacksonville Cop Kills Unarmed Drug Suspect

by Phillip Smith

A Jacksonville, Florida, police officer shot and killed an unarmed drug suspect during a traffic stop early Wednesday morning when the man reached down inside his car. Davinian Darnell Williams, 36, becomes the 28th person to die in domestic drug law enforcement operations so far this year.

According to Jacksonville Police Chief Tom Hackney, Officer Jeff Edwards pulled over Williams for "driving suspiciously in a[n]? area known for drug activity." Williams tried to evade Edwards by making sudden turns and running stop signs.

When Williams finally stopped, the chief said, he refused commands to show his hands and was moving around inside the vehicle. Officer Edwards moved from one side of the car to the other to get a better view of what Williams was doing.

"At that time, the suspect made a sudden motion, reaching down," Hackney said.

Edwards then opened fire, shooting seven times through a side window and hitting Williams with six of the shots. Williams died at the scene.

Police found 17 grams of powder cocaine in one of Williams' socks and less than a gram of crack cocaine in the other. There was no weapon on Williams or in the car.

Williams had a criminal record dating back to 1992, including possession of marijuana, sale and possession of cocaine, resisting arrest, and battery on a law enforcement officer.

Officer Edwards has been placed on administrative leave while the State's Attorney's Office investigates.

Williams' killing was the seventh shooting by Jacksonville police this year and the fourth fatal one. In 2010 and 2011, Jacksonville police shot eight people each year, and in both years, four of them died.

"These traffic stops are filled with inherent dangers," Hackney said.

So, what's is the problem here ? I'd say the cop did his job.in a similar situation I would have shot the guy too. In these circumstances the cop had too assume he was about to be shot. You all,Americans have something with killing ?!I suppose you like it , no wonder : if we see where y'all coming from?? Mostly European bandits emigrated or ''exported '' by governments here
We remember the killings on Natives too well, now mostly Hispanics are under fire.(sometimes litterally !) Pathetic ! Funny how Zimmerman as attacked by a thug and there is so much controversy over the death of "Thugvon" Martin, yet, in this case the cop had *NO* idea that there was any danger to him. Yet, there won't be much controversy if a tin badged jackboot kills someone. Maybe the guy had a bumblebee that flew down his shirt. We'll never know now. The blue suited clown with a popgun murdered him. We need to repeal all the laws that allow murdering jackboot bastards from killing innocent people.

anonomous@1:34 - Why didn't the cop just move away? You're probably one of those that wan to repeal stand your ground yet when a cop isn't attacked and had no idea if there was danger to him and he kills, well, thats OK.

Way to stand up for freedom and justice people, Way to stand up!

It is my hope that a jackboot government agent never kills any of your loved ones. But, if they do, you will remember this post and weep bitterly for it.

"These traffic stops are filled with inherent dangers," Hackney said.

So, stop it! There are only a few real crimes in life. All your corporate statutes and codes are Color of Law. Simply, they are a revenue collection scheme. The cops are the real criminals here. Stop oppressing us. Back fucking down!

Karma gonna get you!

No, the cop did not do right. Cops are supposed to defend and protect, and if this means they have to put their life in danger - by, say, letting the suspect prove they have a weapon by trying to attack with it - then that's what they have to do. Or rather, they used to. Now it's kill and make up answers to someone else's questions, rather than ask them yourself.

NYPD kills good samaritan

by RT

John Collado's family never thought helping out a fellow neighbor would lead to his death.

On Tuesday evening, Collado witnessed a scuffle between his neighbor and an unknown individual.

Sensing trouble, Collado quickly dashed to the aid of his neighbor, mid-mugging. An ex-pro wrestler, Collado did what he does best and put the unidentified person in a choke hold; while the struggle persisted, the unknown person grabbed a gun and fired into Collado's abdomen.

The presumed mugger was an NYPD narcotics detective.

"My brother went to help and said 'Get away from him,' and I guess he grabbed the guy, my brother grabbed him. He didn't know he was a policeman," Pablo Collado, John's brother, told Zack Fink of NY1.

According to law enforcement, Collado picked up the officer, who they argue identified himself as a cop, about a foot off the ground and began spinning him.

While the street-clothed detective was airborne, he took hold of his firearm and shot Collado.

Moments before the clash, the detective saw a suspected drug dealer, Collado's neighbor, doing a transaction. According to the police, the buyer fled from the scene but the dealer decided to hold his ground and fight.

The brawl poured into the street and at that moment Collado interfered.

The 43-year-old Collado was rushed to the Harlem Hospital where he died 12 hours later.

According to some reports, police found a bag containing 21 dime bags of marijuana that the neighbor dropped when fleeing the scene, as well as a larger bag filled with marijuana at the scene of the drug deal.

Collado's neighbor was arrested shortly after the incident.

Collado's family and law enforcement officials tell contradictory stories as to how or why Collado's death could have been prevented.

Collado's niece, Banayz Taveras, saw the aftermath of the shooting from across the street.

"I look and I see my uncle with a gunshot wound on the floor," she told the New York Daily News.

Taveras pleaded for police to let her attempt to help her uncle, but was denied access and was also arrested -- for obstruction of justice, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. She was still in custody when her uncle died.

After Collado died in the hospital, his family claimed they were refused admittance to be by Collado's side or retrieve his body.

According to police the restricted access was necessary because Collado was involved in a crime, but his relatives were allowed to see him shortly after his death.

Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said Wednesday the case is still being investigated by the NYPD.

"If he would have identified himself as a cop, my dad would have stopped. He got shot in the stomach, trying to stop an unidentified cop in a scuffle with a civilian, a kid I grew up with, my dad's neighbor. He went to break it up," John Collado, Jr. told the media.

Relatives now plan to sue the city for wrongful death.
