Los Angeles Deputies Kill Armed Man, 80, in Marijuana Raid

by Phillip Smith

Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies shot and killed an armed 80-year-old man as they served a search warrant on a marijuana grow operation in a remote part of the county early Thursday morning. The as yet unnamed man becomes the 19th person to die in US domestic drug law enforcement operations so far this year, and the fourth in the past week.

According to NBC Los Angeles, deputies were serving a "narcotics" search warrant at the multi-unit rural property in the desert community of Littlerock at 7:30am. Lt. Dave Dolson told the TV station deputies entered the home through an unlocked front door, and one deputy fired when they encountered a man armed with a handgun. The man, who may have been the property owner, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Later Thursday afternoon, the Sheriff's Department released a statement on the killing.

"When deputies approached a rear bedroom at the location, they encountered an 80-year-old male who was armed with a semi-automatic handgun. The suspect pointed the handgun at the deputies and a deputy-involved shooting occurred," the statement read.

Deputies recovered the gun, marijuana, and growing equipment at the home where the man was shot. Residents who lived in other units on the property were detained, but later released.

The shooting will be investigated separately by several agencies, including the offices of the Los Angeles County District Attorney and Coroner, and the Sheriff's Homicide and Internal Affairs bureaus.

SWAT Team Kills Armed Homeowner in Dawn Drug Raid

by Phillip Smith

An armed West Virginia homeowner who confronted dawn police raiders with a rifle was shot and killed by State Police officers Wednesday. Richard Dale Kohler, 66, becomes the 18th person to die in US domestic drug law enforcement operations so far this year, and the third in less than a week.

According to the West Virginia Gazette, State Police spokesman Sgt. Michael Baylous said officers from the State Police special response team and DEA agents knocked on the door of Kohler's home at 6:05am. to serve a federal warrant. The newspaper described the special response team as "akin to a SWAT team."

Officers knocked on the door, Baylous said, but no one answered, so police "had to break down the door or forcefully open it somehow." Baylous gave no indication of the amount of time that elapsed between the initial knock on the door and police breaking it open.

When police break down the door, they saw Kohler pointing a rifle at them, Baylous said. The troopers opened fire, shooting multiple rounds and killing Kohler. Baylous said he did not think Kohler had fired his weapon, but it was still unclear.

Baylous said the warrant police were executing was part of a larger, ongoing drug investigation with multiple suspects. He would not comment further on the nature of the investigation, except to say that the DEA division involved was one that focused primarily on prescription drugs.

A neighbor told WSAZ TV that she had seen unusual amounts of traffic going to and from Kohler's home, but that she was surprised to hear he even had a gun.

"I mean, I can't see him just open fire like that, but you know when all that comes after you, you never know what somebody's going to do," Christina Murdock said.

NYPD Kill Hostage Who Escaped Armed Standoff -- Marks Second Killing Of Hostage by Police In One Week

Last Friday, police in Minnesota shot and killed a hostage who fled from an armed gunman in a standoff in a motel. Just one week later, this Friday police in New York shot and killed another hostage who fled a standoff with armed robbers at a Bronx Bodega store. Additionally, an NYPD officer responding to the scene crashed into a random SUV driver, the driver was reportedly sitting at a red light when the speeding police officer careened into him.

NBCNY reports the driver "was treated and released, but the NYPD officer remains hospitalized at Lincoln Hospital in critical but stable condition."

In both of these cases, the criminals themselves were captured but escaped physically unharmed, yet their hostages who managed to flee were killed by police.

Via NBCNY:

Reynaldo Cuevas, a 20-year-old employee of a Bronx bodega, was shot and killed outside of the store Friday morning.

By Kat Creag, Brynn Gingrass and Lori Bordonaro, NBCNY.comA Bronx, N.Y., bodega worker may have been mistakenly shot and killed by police responding to a standoff with armed robbers inside the store early Friday morning, according to a law enforcement source and witness accounts.

Police say at least three men entered the bodega at 631 East 168th Street at 2 a.m. Friday and barricaded themselves inside when cops arrived.

A short time later, Reynaldo Cuevas, a 20-year-old bodega employee, exited the store and was shot dead by cops, according to a relative of the slain youth. The victim's cousin Jose Garcia said he witnessed the scene and that Cuevas, a nephew of the store's owner, did not have his hands raised as he left the store and cops opened fire on him.

"I saw the police shoot him," Garcia told NBC 4 New York. "He came up, but he didn't put his hands up. And he tripped or something and when he fell on the floor, they shot him."

A law enforcement source did confirm that Cuevas may have been mistakenly shot by police officers responding to the chaotic scene.

"Basically he was trying to get away from the robber and he was shot, " said Arjelis Duval, who also witnessed the shooting.

Three people are in custody. Drugs and a gun were recovered from the scene, the police source said.

Maria Acevado, a friend of Cuevas', said she remembered his great sense of humor.

"He was funny," she said. " He was nice to us, just hanging with us on the corner."

It's become more apparent by the day armed criminals are less of a threat than the police who are allegedly supposed to protect us. Lysander Spooner observed this to be the case almost 200 years ago, it still rings true today.

UPDATE: Video of the shooting has been released, the cop apparently shot the man point blank.

The AP reports:

Investigators believe the impact of Cuevas running into the officer caused him to fire one round, striking the 20-year-old victim in the left shoulder, police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said at a news conference. Cuevas died later at a hospital.

Though the death appeared to be an accident, the officer was placed on desk duty pending an investigation, a routine practice for all New York Police Department shootings. Officials refused to release the name of the seven-year veteran of the police force.

There was no sign that the shooter and other officers at the scene mishandled the situation, Kelly said.

"The tragedy here of course was that Mr. Cuevas was shot, but I see nothing wrong with the procedure," he said.

The cop should not have had his finger on the trigger if he was not intending to shoot the man, guns do not just misfire without the trigger being pulled. NYPD use special glocks which require a 12 pound trigger pull weight, double the standard 5.5 pounds, the cop either shot the man purposefully or failed to use gun safety 101.

The "tragedy here" is police incompetence and New York's restrictive gun laws which forbid citizens from protecting themselves, leaving them at the mercy of criminals, and the NYPD, but I repeat myself.

When I grow up, I want to be a cop! "Protect and serve" indeed: They can't even be bothered to pretend anymore. While Mayor Bloomberg calls for more gun controls for the citizens (but not cops), cops continue to kill more people annually in suspiciously "justified" killings than all the *OTHER* murders in the land. In fact, if you remove the killer cop murders that take place, you find that gun deaths go way down to the point of being negligent. Yet, at the same time, the mental midget moron anti-gun people try to tell us if we can just get the guns out of everybody's hands, *EXCEPT* cops, of course, we would be a lot safer. Suspiciously, they use the "gun deaths" statistic (that *INCLUDES* the murders perpetrated by cops) to bolster their argument. How do you spell Prop Uh Gan Duh??? I'll tell you how: Gun Death Statistics.

The fact is that there is a hidden agenda here and that neither the cops or the mental midget anti-gun people give a flying rats ass (thats a bat's ass for you that don't know a lot about wildlife) about anyone's safety. The real agenda is unclear, but, saving lives and keeping us safe isn't it.

They tell us, "Get the guns out of the hands of the people so just cops have the guns and we'll be a lot safer."

Can I say it? Sorry Chris, I'm going to say it:

BULL FUCKING SHIT!!!

I wonder what Bloomberg says about these things? I sure it would be "justified".

We don't need more "gun control" unless "gun control" = "removing guns from the hands of cops". The danger with guns comes from having them in the hands of cops. When guns are around, there seems to be relative safety. When cops are around and guns are around, innocent people die. This tells me that its not the guns that are dangerous, its the cops.

And Bloomberg recently bragged he had the 7th largest army in the world with the NYPD....or otherwise known as the Gang who couldn't shoot straight. Enough with the scare tactics of trying to unarm citizens. We need to protect ourselves from cops now it seems.

Non-Compliance In Action: Bar Patrons Ignore Armed Robber Until He Goes Away

Chris | InformationLiberation

Here's a good demonstration of the power of non-compliance. A gun-wielding armed robber (symbolizing the government) attempts to rob some bar patrons (tax slaves) and they simply ignore him until he goes away.

Here's the full story from Gizmodo:

This is hilariously pitiful. An armed robber stormed a bar and demanded everyone give him their money. Usually, everyone freaks out and hands over everything they have. Not in this case. At this bar in Rotterdam, everyone ignored the robber and kept drinking.

Wait... what? Yes! Even when the robber waved his gun in their faces, everyone just went about their business of getting drunk. When the robber realized he couldn't get money, he lowered his demands to just a pack of cigarettes. He couldn't even get that. The barkeep just told him to get the hell out. The man with a gun was told to shut up. Just priceless. Realizing defeat, the robber finally left the bar.

BUT IT GETS BETTER.

As he leaves, the entire bar decides to chase him down. Yes, they're chasing a man down who's armed with a gun. The bar patrons finally catch up to the woeful robber and nab him a mile away from the bar. The police is called, the robber is arrested and the weakest robbery attempt in robbing history has been put on the Internet. At least be good at being bad, guy.

Now, if only people would do the same with the state!

Killer on the Loose: Grandpa 'Armed' With Baby Is SWAT Veteran's Seventh Kill

by William Grigg

Scottsdale Police Officer James Peters, a former SWAT operative previously involved in six fatal officer-involved shootings, killed John Loxas II Tuesday night (February 14) while the 50-year-old grandfather was holding a baby.

Although police "could see that the suspect had the baby in his arms" just before Peters fired the fatal shot, Loxas was unarmed, according to a Scripps wire service account. "After several calls for Loxas to exit the home, he opened the door with the baby in his left hand, and stood just inside the doorway... Officers then saw Loxas reach down to his right, lowering the baby and exposing his head and upper body. Peters then responded to the movement with a single shot to Loxas' head."

Two years ago, Loxas was arrested following a report that he had been seen "yelling and walking around with a handgun." Although officers described Loxas as "drunk" and "threatening his neighbors with a pistol," he was not charged with aggravated assault -- as Arizona statutes would dictate -- but for the trivial offense of "disorderly conduct."

Tuesday's episode was quite similar: The police were summoned by a report that he had kicked a neighbor's garbage can into the street while he was on a walk with his nine-month-old grandson. When police arrived they found him outside his home. Ordered to "step away" from the house, Loxas retreated inside. Without any evidence that Loxas intended to harm the child, the officers created a "crisis entry team" -- that is, they escalated the conflict by imposing a military protocol that led to the summary execution of a man who wasn't suspected of a violent crime.

That decision might have been prompted by the fact that Loxas -- in addition to having a turbulent relationship with his neighbors -- was an outspoken political dissident who briefly considered running for President.

"A REVOLUTION IS COMING," Loxas wrote in a March 2011 Facebook entry. "THE WORLD IS ABOUT TO CHANGE. The question is: Who do YOU want to be President of the United States AFTER the revolution is over?"

"I believe that the World Bank/International Monetary Fund/Federal Reserve/IRS, mainstream media, corporatism, Zionism and GREED are the true axes of evil whether or not ... they know or believe that themselves," he continued. "Right or wrong, true or untrue; this is MY belief, and I firmly stand by it."

Given his characterization of government as an all-encompassing criminal menace -- a description no rational, honest person would dispute -- it's not surprising that Loxas regarded "ANY agent of the government" to be "an enemy of the PEOPLE," and insisted that in the event of large-scale civic unrest that people should focus their rage on government buildings or officials, rather than each other. Whatever one thinks of the wisdom of such exhortations, they are indistinguishable, in tenor and reasoning, from countless similar examples one can cull from the writings of America's revolutionary period.

Although Loxas was treated as if he were a heavily armed barricaded kidnapper, a search of his home turned up a total of two firearms -- neither of which was within easy reach when he was killed by Officer Peters -- and an object described as a "functional improvised explosive device" that was disposed of by a bomb squad and not inspected by any independent party.

The Scottsdale PD has claimed that the paramilitary tactics used in the confrontation were dictated by concerns for the infant's safety. It's not clear how shooting the grandfather while he was holding the infant was to the child's benefit. Another possibility is that Loxas, by virtue of his impassioned political opinions, fit the profile of the dreaded "Sovereign Citizens" movement, which has been designated by the FBI as the most prominent domestic "terrorist" threat -- and the most acute threat to "officer safety."

In late January, an FBI-led paramilitary strike team conducted a full-force raid on the residence of a Lake Mary, Florida couple suspected of harboring "Sovereign Citizens"-derived political views. Brandishing automatic weapons and deploying camera-equipped robots, the SWAT team went through the house and garage, removing several boxes of documents. The couple has yet to be charged with a crime.

Last June, the Department of Homeland Security conducted drone surveillance of a remote farm outside Lakota, North Dakota at the request of Nelson County Sheriff Kelly Janke. The farm belonged to the family of Rodney Brossart, who was involved in a dispute with the Sheriff regarding the disposition of cattle that had wandered onto his land. Citing material emitted by the left-wing Southern Poverty Law Center, Sheriff Janke described Brossart and his wife as suspected "Sovereign Citizens" -- a designation that apparently elevated this insignificant quarrel over wandering livestock to the status of a threat against Homeland Security.

Armed Troops Burn Down Homes, Kill Children To Evict Ugandans In Name Of Global Warming

by Paul Joseph Watson

Armed troops acting on behalf of a British carbon trading company backed by the World Bank burned houses to the ground and killed children to evict Ugandans from their homes in the name of seizing land to protect against ?global warming,? a shocking illustration of how the climate change con is a barbarian form of neo-colonialism.

The evictions were ordered by New Forests Company, an outfit that seizes land in Africa to grow trees then sells the ?carbon credits? on to transnational corporations. The company is backed by the World Bank and HSBC. Its Board of Directors includes HSBC Managing Director Sajjad Sabur, as well as other former Goldman Sachs investment bankers.

The company claims residents of Kicucula left in a "peaceful" and "voluntary" manner, and yet the people tell a story of terror and bloodshed.

Villagers told of how armed ?security forces? stormed their village and torched houses, burning an eight-year-child to death as they threatened to murder anyone who resisted while beating others.

"We were in church," recalled Jean-Marie Tushabe, 26, a father of two. "I heard bullets being shot into the air."

"Cars were coming with police," Mr. Tushabe said, sitting among the ruins of his old home. "They headed straight to the houses. They took our plates, cups, mattresses, bed, pillows. Then we saw them getting a matchbox out of their pockets."

?But in this case, the government and the company said the settlers were illegal and evicted for a good cause: to protect the environment and help fight global warming,? reports the New York Times.

An Oxfam report documents how the British outfit has worked with the Ugandan government to forcibly expel over 20,000 people from their homes using terror and violence as part of a lucrative scramble for arable land that can be used to satisfy the multi-billion dollar carbon trading ponzi scheme, which is worth $1.8 million a year to the company.

?I no longer own any land. It?s impossible to feed my children -- they have suffered so much. Some days all they eat is porridge from maize flour. When people can?t eat well their bodies become weak -- there have been lots of cases of malaria and diarrhoea. Some days we don?t eat anything at all,? said former farmer Francis Longoli, whose land was stolen by New Forests.

As we have previously documented, the manufactured threat of man-made global warming is being used as a tool of neo-colonialism in the third world, not only through the seizure of land and infrastructure, thereby preventing poor nations from using their resources to develop, but by literally starving poverty-stricken people to death.

Climate change alarmism and implementation of global warming policies is a crime of the highest nature, because it is already having a genocidal impact in countries like Haiti, where the doubling of food prices is resulting in a substantial increase in starvation, poverty and death, with the population being forced to live on mud pies.

As a National Geographic Report confirmed, "With food prices rising, Haiti's poorest can't afford even a daily plate of rice, and some must take desperate measures to fill their bellies," by "eating mud," partly as a consequence of "increasing global demand for biofuels."

In April 2008, World Bank President Robert Zoellick admitted that biofuels were a "significant contributor" to soaring food prices that have led to poor people dying from starvation as a result of biofuels dominating land that would normally be used to harvest food.

Even man-made global warming advocate George Monbiot admits that promotion of biofuels "is causing starvation in the poor world," particularly in Swaziland, where the decision to allocate several thousand hectares of farmland to ethanol production despite the country being in the grip of a famine was labeled "a crime against humanity" by Jean Ziegler, the UN's special rapporteur.

But it's not just biofuels, a product of global warming alarmism, that are unleashing a genocide against black people in poorer countries, it's the whole anti-development mantra embraced by climate change activists that is being enforced by supranational organizations like the World Bank and the IMF in the name of reducing carbon dioxide, the evil life-giving gas that plants breathe and humans exhale.

Indeed, poorer countries rejected the 2009 Copenhagen climate agreement precisely because it discriminated against third world nations.

In addition, the Obama administration, firmly supported by Al Gore, last year ordered the World Bank to keep "developing" countries underdeveloped by blocking them from building coal-fired power plants, ensuring that poorer countries remain in poverty as a result of energy demands not being met.

By preventing poor nations from becoming self-sufficient in blocking them from producing their own energy, the Obama administration is ensuring that millions more will die from starvation and lack of access to hospitals and medical treatment.

While ignorant environmentalist leftists preach all day about the effects of global warming having the most impact on poorer countries, it is in fact the poorer countries and their people who are suffering most from global warming alarmism, and predators like the banker-backed New Forests Company.

The seizure of arable land in the name of ?global warming? is set to become big business, which is why the United Nations recently announced it is preparing to roll out an army of green helmeted ?climate peacekeepers? to intervene in poorer countries to protect ?shrinking resources?.

Transnational corporations, in league with western governments and offshore banks, have seized upon the climate change scam to carry out genocidal policies and land grabs in the pursuit of selling carbon credits to other transnational corporations who then merely pass on the cost to the consumer.
