NYPD Dangerously Uses Horses to Control Crowd at Occupy Wall Street in Times Square

Democracy Now! broadcasts video footage of the New York City Police Department using officers on horseback to keep Occupy Wall Street demonstrators within a barricaded area on Saturday in Times Square during a massive protest. Tens of thousands of people joined the march from Zuccotti Park in Manhattan's Financial District ? the home of the month-long encampment protest ? to Times Square, the heart of New York's media, tourism and entertainment district. Democracy Now! host Amy Goodman asks reporter Ryan Devereaux to describe the scene (read transcript below). A top NYPD officer eventually arrived and directed the police force to move back and deescalate the situation.

What I don't understand is this when in combat back in the day when horses were used the people being attacked by the calvery the horses were shot, piked or gutted so as the mounted charge would then thusly be decimated. So why isn't anybody using straight edge razors to cut these horses and put down the rider and show these assholes who they work for and it ain't the fckn suits. I know this is just a peaceful protest, but with all protests blood on both sides are gonna have to be spilled sooner or later. Oh yeah a horse that is used a as a matter of conveyance by the enemy state is considered a tool of the enemy so to bad for animal rights.
