Wow! I understand some of their beliefs as I haven't read up on them much but this is crazy shit. I didn't know they were nuts of that variety. Any of you who frequent this website - see story after story of crooked cops - rampant juridical corruption - police brutality, incompetence and so forth - don't deny that a side of you wishes a lone wolf or a group of liberty minded individuals could exact just violence upon the thuggery of the praetorian class.

It is only natural to conceive of these notions. It does not make you evil nor insane. You are human, and not sociopathic, unlike those that claim to serve, to protect, and to uphold --- and fail, pathetically, intentionally. You love you fellow man and you see that the imbalance of justice and you seek to restore balance to the social dynamic between the citizen and the enforcer.

Peaceful means of protesting the rising police state don't seem to work - which leaves "other" means. Sad, I know - but necessary? - probably - if we stay on the course of authoritarianism - definitely.

Expect the frequency of actions like those in this story to increase. They will. Always remember Newton's third law.

Peel away the cop uniforms and labels of authority and they are only state sanctioned thugs who torture, maim and kill with impunity.

When SHTF, you're gonna wish there are groups like this to protect you from roving bands of cops out to rob, rape and murder you.

Personally, I sort of look forward to the collapse - finally giving We The People an opportunity to extract justice from those who deprived us of the same for so long.

I support this action against unlawful thugs with badges. They're fascists and illegally operating against our Constitution.

Only an Incipient 'Terrorist' Denounces State Murder

According to the SPLC, the people in the burning building were the "terrorists."

?There are, in increasingly frightening numbers, cells of angry men in the United States preparing for combat," warns an unusually strident house editorial by the Los Angeles Times. "They are usually heavily armed, blinded by an intractable hatred, often motivated by religious zeal.?

That description was not applied to the masked, armor-clad Berserkers who kick down doors in the early morning or late at night and terrorize families over non-violent "offenses." Nor was it offered in reference to the militants who have purchased more than 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition ? much of it hollow-point rounds unsuitable for military use ? while distributing armored vehicles and other military hardware to their adherents in practically every city nation-wide. The Times didn't direct that rhetorical salvo at the people who are openly discussing plans to fill America's skies with robot planes that can ? and will ? be used as weapons platforms.

The Times editorial collective focused its indignation upon a much safer target ? namely, ?white, right-wing Americans, all with an obsessive attachment to guns, who may represent a greater danger to the lives of American civilians than international terrorists.? The statist screed makes passing reference to what it calls ?the massacre of a bizarre sect by federal agents in Waco, Texas,? twenty years ago ? without passing moral judgment on the ?massacre? in question. Slaughtering religious eccentrics is a venial offense compared to the grave heresy committed by those who speak ill of the Holy State, since their "blather" ? not the murderous actions of those who impudently presume to rule us, mind you ? "tends to get under the skin of the Timothy McVeighs of the world."

Once again: Immolating harmless people in a church is a perfectly proper thing, assuming that this act of mass murder is carried out by the consecrated hands of the State's enforcement caste, but referring to it as mass murder is the sort of thing only an incipient terrorist would do.In recent days, we've heard that the Obama Regime ? which is running out of plausible foreign enemies ? is seeking to broaden the scope of the "war on terror" to include "offshoot" groups that are connected only by rumor to al-Qaeda (which was always more of a brand name than an actual organization). Terror Warriors need not fret; ere long we'll harvest the nettles that have been so plentifully sown by the Regime's implacable aggression abroad. In the meantime, however, the Times suggests that the "war on terror" should re-direct its focus inward.

Citing the most recent missive from the self-appointed Stasi at the Southern Poverty Law Center, the Times claims that there are 1,360 proto-terrorist groups ? sneeringly denounced as "patriots," "constitutionalists," and "sovereign citizens" ? scattered throughout the Soyuz. "These groups should be closely monitored, with resources adequate to the task, even if it means shifting some homeland security money from the hunt for foreign terrorists," concludes the paper.

A Sheriff's Deputy in Gem County, Idaho deals with a "Constitutionalist."

The Times editorial ? which could be digested into the phrase, "The conspiracy theorists are plotting against us!" ? brings to mind an incident in the early 1980s in which East German officials arrested a group of human rights activists for "defaming" the state by claiming that it suppressed freedom of speech. As Tony Cooper, an instructor in terrorism negotiation at the University of Texas-Dallas, pointed out in 1995, the Regime in Washington is perfectly capable of such totalitarian behavior.

"I see the formation of a curious crusading mentality among certain law enforcement agencies to stamp out what they see as a threat to government generally," Cooper told the Washington Post in 1995. "It's an exaggerated concern that they are facing a nationwide conspiracy and that somehow this will get out of control unless it is stamped out at a very early stage."

Never forget: A "conspiracy theorist" is someone who notices things without official permission ? and a "terrorist" is anybody who challenges the government's monopoly on violence.

Sandra Cortez's Ordeal: Once You're On The Terrorist "Watch List," You Can't Get Off

Sandra Cortez, born in Chicago sixty-eight years ago, has never set foot outside the United States -- yet she discovered, through an error in her credit report, that her name is permanently inscribed in a terrorist "watch list."

Cortez has no criminal record, and an exemplary credit history. In March 2005, Cortez -- who at the time was living in Denver, Colorado -- attempted to buy a vehicle from the John Elway Subaru dealership.

?I thought I would be driving my new car back to work after lunch,? Cortez recalled. ?I couldn?t imagine what would happen next.?

Despite the fact that Cortez had a 761 credit score and money for a down-payment, the dealership's manager balked at the sale after running Cortez's credit history through the TransUnion credit rating service. Rather than closing the deal on the $18,000 Subaru Forrester, the manager -- his face drawn into a "stern look" -- assailed the puzzled woman with a series of "strange questions": ?Were you born in the United States? Have you always lived in the U.S.? When is the last time you left the country??

TransUnion had notified the dealership that Cortez's name was on the Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control list owing to its resemblance to a "specially designated individual" from Colombia named Sandra Cortez Quintera.

This was obviously a coincidence involving a very common Latino name (it's akin to the incidental similarity between, say, a U.S.-born woman named Margaret Lindsay, and an Irish terrorism suspect named Maggie Lindsay O'Reilly). However, under the so-called USA PATRIOT Act, businesses such as the John Elway Subaru dealership in Denver face draconian fines and prison sentences for extending credit to anyone suspected of terrorist connections (unless, of course, they are connected to terrorist groups currently favored by Washington, such as the Iranian Islamo-Marxist cult called the MEK). ?Rather than selling Cortez the car, the dealership detained her at the office while it consulted with the FBI.

Eventually, Cortez was able to buy the car, and the dealership -- which had been caught in the same vise -- offered a sincere and extravagant apology. When she contacted TransUnion, the agency insisted that the notifications had been removed from her file. Nonetheless, in June 2006, the red flags appeared when Cortez attempted to rent an apartment. In fact, the notifications materialize every time Cortez has to conduct business that involves credit.

In a 2010 ruling, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals noted that "the alerts often reduced Cortez to tears. The alerts also caused Cortez to lose weight and they interfered with her ability to sleep to such an extent that she resorted to medication."

Following a lengthy legal struggle, Cortez was awarded $750,000 in damages by a jury. The government arbitrarily reduced that award to $150,000, and then stole roughly a third of that in taxes. Most infuriating is the fact that the Regime still refuses to take Cortez's name off the list.

?Most people think if you pay your bills on time, you will be OK in the credit world,? observes Cortez, who now resides in La Mesa, California. ?But that?s not how it always works. And sometimes, the mistakes can be paralyzing" -- especially when they are made by entirely unaccountable people who treat the rest of us like inmates in a prison society.

Wall Street Editorial Page: If the Government Claims You Are a Terrorist, Then You ARE a Terrorist

The "War on Terror" has become a sickness. Abroad, the U.S. Armed Forces either commit acts of war in small, defenseless countries or they are engaged in dirty wars of occupation, as we have seen in Iraq and Afghanistan. Drone strikes kill innocents and now the government has decided that Americans are so evil that they, too, need to feel the full force of the drone.

Cheering on every lie and abuse has been the neocon (emphasis on "con") Wall Street Journal editorial page and today we see the Journal's viewpoint in all its evil: the government should not have to face any restrictions at all when it comes to pursuing what it calls "terrorists." On top of that, the Journal goes on to lambast those few "Tea Party" Republicans who have the audacity to question the abuses of the FBI, the CIA, and the Armed Forces. The editorial states:

A week ago the world learned of another foiled airplane bombing attack by the Yemeni offshoot of al Qaeda. Osama bin Laden's successors are desperate to strike the U.S. again, which isn't news to most Americans but seems to elude some Members of Congress.

As early as Thursday, the House is due to vote on a measure that effectively declares the war on terror over in the U.S. and dismantles the legal architecture that has protected the homeland since 9/11. Any wonder Americans have so little respect for Congress? Or the Constitution has Presidents run the nation's wars?

The newest "foiled" attempt was yet another CIA "false flag" operation, but the WSJ wants us to believe that the brave U.S. Government agents, using their vast intelligence network that was gained through waterboarding and other "enhanced interrogation" methods that in reality have produced nothing but hot air and lies at home, not to mention hatred of the USA by people abroad. But the editorial gets even better:

Adam Smith, a Washington State Democrat, and Michigan Republican and tea partier Justin Amash want to bar the U.S. military from capturing, detaining or interrogating any terrorist of any nationality captured on American soil. Their proposed amendment to next year's defense authorization bill more or less revokes the legal authority granted by Congress a week after 9/11 to fight terrorists on every front.

What this means in practice is that if al Qaeda big Ayman al-Zawahiri and his soldiers are captured overseas (say, in Pakistan), they can be detained by the military, interrogated, and dispatched to wherever the Commander in Chief decides. But if they happen to make it to the U.S., they will have to be handled like your neighborhood burglar. That means being read their Miranda rights, handed over to the local police and put before a civilian judge. The military or CIA couldn't question them to learn about future plots.

This is a bizarre distinction, as if America is not somehow part of the global terror battlefield. Try to explain that to the al Qaeda bombmakers in Yemen, or the residents of downtown Manhattan. The amendment would essentially reward al Qaeda operatives with better treatment for having the wit to get out of their caves and sneak into America to blow up civilians in shopping malls.

If this is not delusional thinking, then delusion is nonexistent. The only true "organized" terror "plots" in this country since 9/11 have been FBI or CIA-inspired "false flag" actions that were orchestrated and led by government agents. That includes the first "underwear bomber" action and the latest howler, the attempt to blow up a bridge near Cleveland, Ohio, by a gang that on their own probably could not blow up its own bongs.

But the neocon Journal is not done, as the editors include this lament:

The tragedy here is that the political battles over terrorist detention were finally calming down. The anti-antiterror left waged war against President George W. Bush for refusing to treat illegal enemy combatants the same as common criminals, but President Obama has adopted much of the same legal framework. Now a misguided wing of the tea party is giving political cover to the left to revive this fight and confuse the American public with overblown fears that the government can arrest anyone for anything and hold him forever.

Yes, yes, Barack Obama is a hardcore civil libertarian who respects the rights of everyone, including terrorists. Yeah, that truly is an example of "I'll believe it when I see it," given the legal abuses Obama and his hatchet-man Eric Holder have fomented. As much as anything, this editorial exposes the neocons' desire to essentially turn this country into a military dictatorship in which executive power is absolute and when government claims someone is a "terrorist," that person disappears, a country where no accused person is innocent.

Nutritional McCarthyism: Red Meat To Blame for Death, Global Warming, Tsunamis, Mine Collapses, and Terrorist Attacks

Red meat is probably the cause behind?the Congo train derailment and the Yangtze River dolphin extinction, too.

The media, this week, ran the following headlines:

CNN. "Study: Too Much Red Meat May Shorten Lifespan."

LA Times. "Red Meat: What Makes It Unhealthy."

AllVoices.com. "Harvard Study Concludes Red Meat Reduces Average Life."

NY Daily News. "Red meat boosts risk of dying young: study; Just one portion of processed meat boosts death risk by 20%."

New York Times. "Risks: More Red Meat, More Mortality."

And the most comical headline of them all was from Slate: "Study: All Red Meat Linked to Premature Death."

This was undoubtedly the most popular headline of the week for the sound bite lovin', I-read-the-headline-and-that's-all-that-matters crowd. To say that the mainstream media and the blogosphere discovered a new level of idiocy is putting it much too lightly.?There were two types of people hitting the "publish" button on their blogs just a wee bit too prematurely over these headlines - (1) The vegans/vegetarians who may actually know a little something about eating good food, and have a passion for great health, yet are too motivated - perhaps politically - too see through the 40-year facade of the federal dietary sham, and (2) Bloggers who know absolutely nothing about health and wellness, let alone nutrition, and couldn't care less, except they carry a schizophrenic vendetta against people who are passionate about health and wellness and carry the torch for the paleo-primal lifestyle (you know, us nuts who advocate for such atrocities as real food, voluntary trade that is free from the force of the government's criminal agencies, and food freedom).

Many folks sent me the link and asked, "When are you going to blog on this?" For starters, I didn't have the time. But then again, I waited, because I knew the ancestral health community would light up the switchboard of ignorance with a spark of sagacity that would render the media blitz and bozo blogosphere impotent, like farts in the wind. And they didn't disappoint.

This was an observational study, where participants filled out food frequency questionnaires (here is a link to the questionnaire) every four years and lifestyle and medical data questionnaires every two years. Certainly, people are very honest and have a tremendous capacity for remembering what they ate two days ago, let alone a year ago.?First,?there is Robb Wolf, who referred to the red meat scaremongering as "nutritional McCarthyism."?Gary Taubes also commented?on the horrendous science behind the study:

The problem with observational studies like those run by Willett and his colleagues is that they do none of this. That's why it's so frustrating. The hard part of science is left out ?and they skip straight to the endpoint, insisting that their interpretation of the association is the correct one and we should all change our diets accordingly.

In these observational studies, the epidemiologists?establish a cohort of subjects to follow (tens of thousands of nurses and physicians, in this case) and then ask them about what they eat. The fact that they use questionnaires?that are notoriously fallible is almost irrelevant here because the rest of the science is so flawed. Then they follow the subjects for decades --?28 years in this case. Now they have a database of diseases, deaths and foods consumed, and they can draw associations between what these people were eating and the diseases and deaths.

The end result is an association. In the latest report, eating a lot of red meat and processed meat is?associated?with premature death and increased risk of chronic disease. That's what they observed in the cohorts -- the observation.

...An association by itself contains no causal information. There are an infinite number of associations that are not causally related for every association that is, so the fact of the association itself doesn't tell us much.

Taubes calls these observational studies "the equivalent of conventional wisdom-confirmation machines." And then there is Denise Minger, guest writing for Mark Sisson's blog,?who put the entire drama to rest with her relentless pursuit of science?in the midst of a media blitz touting what she calls "ultimately wobbly, imperfect, and tragically inconclusive observational data."?Denise notes that this was a "garden-variety observational study, not an actual experiment where people change something specific they're doing and thus make it possible to determine cause and effect." Yet the researchers drew absolute conclusions from their disturbingly unscientific study.?Says Denise:

The lead researcher Frank Hu?claimed the study?"provides clear evidence that regular consumption of red meat, especially processed meat, contributes substantially to premature death," despite the fact that the study is innately incapable of providing such evidence. It's as if someone?pulled a Campbell?on us. Only an actual experiment,?with controls and manipulated variables, could start confirming causation.

There are a couple of other thrashings worth mentioning, and?the most notable of those is from Zoe Harcombe. She does a deep dive on the data and points out seven fatal flaws of the study, with one of them being the following:

As I always consider conflict of interest, it would be remiss of me to end without noting that one of the authors (if not more) is known to be vegetarian and speaks at vegetarian conferences[ii] and the invited 'peer' review of the article has been done by none other than the man who claims the credit for having turned ex-President Clinton into a vegan -- Dean Ornish.[iii]
