If The Clintons Are Worth 50 Million, Why Do They Get Nearly A Million A Year From The Taxpayers?

By Michael Snyder

Since leaving the White House, the Clintons have earned at least 100 million dollars and currently have a net worth of up to 50 million dollars.? So why in the world do the taxpayers need to give Bill Clinton $944,000 to fund his extravagant lifestyle in 2014?? If ordinary Americans truly understood how much money many former politicians are being handed every year they would go bananas.? According to a Congressional Research Service report that was published earlier this year, the federal government has given a total of nearly 16 million dollars to Bill Clinton since 2001.? Each one of those dollars is a dollar that some U.S. taxpayer worked really hard for or that we had to borrow.? Yes, we don't want our former presidents to go broke for a whole bunch of reasons, but it is absolutely absurd that we are showering them with millions upon millions of dollars.

Yesterday, I wrote about the trouble that Hillary has caused for herself by claiming that the Clintons were "dead broke" when they left the White House.

The way things have been set up, there is no way in the world that any former president is going to be "dead broke" ever again unless the law is changed.

According to?the Washington Post, Bill Clinton has been receiving about a million dollars a year "for office space, staff, and a pension" since he left office...

According to an April report from the Congressional Research Service, Bill Clinton has received nearly $16 million in pensions and benefits from the federal government since leaving office. That includes $944,000 in fiscal year 2014 for office space, staff, and a pension.
That is insanely wasteful.

But wait, there's more.

George W. Bush is actually receiving more money from the taxpayers?than Clinton is each year...

Bush the younger is costing taxpayers $1.28 million this year, and averages 4 per cent more annual than Clinton.

The government's General Services Administration inexplicably budgeted $102,000 for Bush's telephone expenses in 2014, and planned to spend $135,000 more on furniture, computers, office supplies and other miscellany.

How in the world is George W. Bush racking up $102,000 in phone expenses a year?

Does he have the world's worst calling plan?

And of course what we spend on our former presidents is peanuts compared to what we spend on our current president.

According to author Robert Keith Gray, approximately 1.4 billion dollars is spent on the Obamas every year.? Here are just a few nuggets from his book...

-The Obamas have the "biggest staff in history at the highest wages ever".

-Obama has 469 senior staff working directly under him, and 226 of them make more than $100,000 a year.

-There is always at least one projectionist at the White House 24 hours a day just in case there is someone that wants to watch a movie.

-The "dog handler" for the family dog Bo reportedly makes $102,000 per year and sometimes he is even flown to where the family is vacationing so that he can care for the dog.

Yes, the White House needs a large staff.

But at this point we spend more on our presidents than any nation on the planet does on their entire royal families.

Over the years, the political elite have tilted the rules of the game dramatically in their favor.? Neither political party objects because they both benefit from riding on the endless gravy train.

If you can believe it, there are close to 15,000 retired federal employees that are currently collecting federal pensions for life worth at least $100,000 annually.? This list includes names such as Newt Gingrich, Bob Dole, Trent Lott, Dick Gephardt and Dick Cheney.

And most people are astounded to hear that more than 4 million dollars a year is spent on the "personal" and "office" expenses of each U.S. Senator.

Not that they need the money.? As I wrote about recently, more than half of the members of Congress are millionaires at this point, and nearly 200 of them are multimillionaires.

Politics in America has become a game that is played by the elite for the benefit of the elite.? If it seems like they are "out of touch" with ordinary Americans that is because they are.

Meanwhile, things just continue to get even tougher for the middle class.? Even though money is flowing like wine in Washington D.C. for the moment,?a brand new Gallup survey discovered that 58 percent of Americans believe that the economy is getting worse.

It is shameful that our politicians are living like rock stars while tens of millions of American families are suffering so deeply.? For example, consider the case of?Andrew and Kristen Cummins...

Andrew and Kristen Cummins and their 8-year-old son Colton have been in and out of homelessness for the past four years.

It all started when Andrew moved to Indiana for a temporary warehouse job that was supposed to turn into a full-time job. But instead he said he was let go as soon as the company would have had to start providing him with full-time benefits.

Since then, he has worked at several other temporary jobs that haven't turned into full-time work either.

Kristen has been in the same position: She has also had temporary jobs, but nothing has stuck.

So for now, the three stay at a local homeless shelter called the Haven House. Since women and men are required to sleep in separate areas, Andrew doesn't get to see his wife or son after 9 p.m. each night.

There are millions of other families just like them that are scratching and clawing their way through life the best that they can.

Perhaps our politicians should actually do something to help them instead of sitting back and living the high life at our expense.

Charlotte Cop Kills Dog, Nearly Shoots Pregnant Woman

Here is her story as posted to Facebook:

Last night around 9:40 an officer came to respond to a 911 call at my house... I was outside and opened the door and my 2 Pit Bulls came outside? They did not bark, growl, charge at the officer or show any sign of aggression towards him... The officer yelled at me to grab my dog... I am 7 months pregnant? I bent down in time to grab him from the hips but it was to late the officer had already fired a shot that grazed my female pit bull on her lip and hit my other dog at the neck... He instantly went down, Not to mention that the officer could have shot me too while I was holding my dog. This all happened at my property, two steps away from my door. My husband ran outside and started yelling at the cop and asked him why he shot my dog and the officer said it was because ?HE WAS A PIT BULL?... At this point I was on the ground holding Chino and telling him to cross over the rainbow bridge... My husband was running around the neighborhood looking for our injured pit bill... Once chino passed I started to tell the officers to please not to shoot my other dog that was able to get away from the officer.

I also have to mention that after some time I was put in an ambulance because I was hyperventilating and the medics said that my blood pressure was elevated due to the situation, I also feared that anything would happen to my unborn baby. They asked to take me to the hospital but I refused to leave my dogs side, especially because one was still missing and was scared that the officers might shot her again. My husband was able to find my injured dog and had to take her to the emergency vet and got some stitches on her lip.

The officer who took the shots disappeared after a while and I also have to say that the officers didn?t seem to show any concern or remorse about what they did, first there were like 10 police cars but after a short time they were leaving and only 4 or 5 officers stayed back, and it didn?t seem like a crime scene anymore because they were gathered around in a circle laughing and smiling. I don?t know if they were making fun of my husband because he was running around the neighborhood looking for my injured dog. They were also rude to my husband telling him that they were going to arrest him because he was being agitated because he couldn?t find our other dog and because now I was sitting in an ambulance fearing that something could happen to me or our unborn child. One officer even pushed my husband because he stepped over the crime scene yellow tape. They told him more than one time that they were going to arrest him but luckily my husband was able to avoid it. My husband has spent 8 years in the Marine Corps and has and idea how cops will find a reason to make an arrest.

I'm still in shock and not emotionally right after seeing my baby being shot and killed in front of me. My husband is not in his best mental state either and is doing whatever possible to find someone who can help us bring justice to our dogs. We ended up with veterinarian bills to get my other Pit Bull stitches and might have to take her back tomorrow because it?s almost been 24 hours since the shooting and she won?t eat or drink any water. I also had to miss work today because I?m not emotionally stable to function at work and I might not be able to be working tomorrow either. I also have to see my doctor to make sure that everything is fine with me and my unborn baby, because I have been felling a pressure on my stomach and haven?t been able to eat or sleep.

Today we have been calling lawyer offices and went to the police station trying to file a report directly on the officer and they said the statements we made yesterday would be sufficient and they couldn't give us a copy... They will not let us file a report against the officer who shot my two dogs. We tried going to the Sheriff?s office and they said they couldn?t help us either.

This is another perfect example of someone learning the hard way why you should never call the police.

Looks like they like to abuse people an animals on regular basis! Now they want to take our guns, no wonder no one feels safe anymore! a week ago I witnessed a situation where a woman had 2 pit-bulls run away from her home as she opened the door and they literately jumped and ripped another woman's dog into pieces...
As I took one pit-bull and slammed it back into her house, another by-passer did the same with the 2nd pit-bull, I closed the screen door and watched both dogs lick each others left-over blood stains from the dead dog...

What a specie of animals! I understand the cop being frightened by these animals, and I guess he heard and knows of stories of pit-bulls being unpredictable.

So many similar stories. Orders from high-up? Get over it. the NEW BOLSHEVIKS are firmly entrenched.

Chinese TV Host Says Regime Nearly Bankrupt

By Matthew Robertson, Epoch Times Staff

China?s economy has a reputation for being strong and prosperous, but according to a well-known Chinese television personality the country?s Gross Domestic Product is going in reverse.

Larry Lang, chair professor of Finance at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, said in a lecture that he didn?t think was being recorded that the Chinese regime is in a serious economic crisis?on the brink of bankruptcy. In his memorable formulation: every province in China is Greece.

The restrictions Lang placed on the Oct. 22 speech in Shenyang City, in northern China?s Liaoning Province, included no audio or video recording, and no media. He can be heard saying that people should not to post his speech online, or ?everyone will look bad,? in the audio that is now on Youtube.

In the unusual, closed-door lecture, Lang gave a frank analysis of the Chinese economy and the censorship that is placed on intellectuals and public figures. ?What I?m about to say is all true. But under this system, we are not allowed to speak the truth,? he said.

Despite Lang?s polished appearance on his high-profile TV shows, he said: ?Don?t think that we are living in a peaceful time now. Actually the media cannot report anything at all. Those of us who do TV shows are so miserable and frustrated, because we cannot do any programs. As long as something is related to the government, we cannot report about it.?

He said that the regime doesn?t listen to experts, and that Party officials are insufferably arrogant. ?If you don?t agree with him, he thinks you are against him,? he said.

Lang?s assessment that the regime is bankrupt was based on five conjectures.

Firstly, that the regime?s debt sits at about 36 trillion yuan (US$5.68 trillion). This calculation is arrived at by adding up Chinese local government debt (between 16 trillion and 19.5 trillion yuan, or US$2.5 trillion and US$3 trillion), and the debt owed by state-owned enterprises (another 16 trillion, he said). But with interest of two trillion per year, he thinks things will unravel quickly.

Secondly, that the regime?s officially published inflation rate of 6.2 percent is fabricated. The real inflation rate is 16 percent, according to Lang.

Thirdly, that there is serious excess capacity in the economy, and that private consumption is only 30 percent of economic activity. Lang said that beginning this July, the Purchasing Managers Index, a measure of the manufacturing industry, plunged to a new low of 50.7. This is an indication, in his view, that China?s economy is in recession.

Fourthly, that the regime?s officially published GDP of 9 percent is also fabricated. According to Lang?s data, China?s GDP has decreased 10 percent. He said that the bloated figures come from the dramatic increase in real estate development each year (accounting for up to 70 percent of GDP in 2010).

Fifthly, that taxes are too high. Last year, the taxes on Chinese businesses (including direct and indirect taxes) were at 70 percent of earnings. The individual tax rate sits at 81.6 percent, Lang said.

Once the ?economic tsunami? starts, the regime will lose credibility and China will become the poorest country in the world, Lang said.

Global Meltdown: Investors Are Dumping Nearly Everything

By: Patti Domm

With no solution in sight for Europe and new fears of a global recession, investors dumped stocks and commodities and ran to the safety of U.S. Treasurys.

Treasury yields , as a result, slipped to historic lows with the 10-year yielding 1.75 percent and the 30-year at 2.86 percent.

The dollar was also a beneficiary of a massive fear trade that sent U.S. stocks sharply lower, on the heels of steep sell-offs in equities markets around the globe.

The worst performing stock market sectors mirrored the sell-off in global commodities markets, with materials down 4.6 percent and energy stocks down 4.1 percent.

Copper, hit by concerns of a Chinese slowdown, tumbled 7 percent to a 1-year low. Gold, usually a safety play, was sold into the maelstrom as investors raised cash. The euro [ EUR=X 1.3486 -0.0091 (-0.67%) ], broke below 1.35, a recent bottom of its range. It was trading in the 1.346 area, an eight-month low against the dollar. The dollar index [ .DXY 78.35 +1.00 (+1.30%) ] was 1.4 percent higher.

"People are finding it really isn't gold. It isn't precious metals. It's not currencies. U.S. Treasurys are where people are flocking to at a time of extreme concern about risk, and we continue to see Treasurys continue to get bid up," said Zane Brown, fixed income strategist at Lord Abbett.
