No Charges Against Chicago Cop Who Drank Several Beers Before Shooting Unarmed Man in Back

Cook County prosecutors spent two years conducting an ?exhaustive? investigation on a Chicago police officer who drank several before beers before shooting a man to death after the man pointed a cell phone at him.

Yet not once during those two years did prosecutors speak to officer Gildardo Sierra, who had shot two other men in the six months prior to the 2011 shooting, including one fatally.

The shooting, which was caught on a dash cam video, was enough for Chicago Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy to acknowledge that allowing Sierra back on the streets after the first two incidents was a mistake.

Chicago Policeman Richard Rizzo

Over seven years, Chicago police officer Richard Rizzo has been arrested four times by fellow officers on charges including domestic battery, child endangerment, and aggravated assault with a gun. Each time, says the Chicago Sun-Times, prosecutors dropped charges against the 15-year police veteran. Rizzo, 44, is still a member of the department, making $80,724 a year. Now comes news that Rizzo was relieved of his police powers on June 13 ? six days after the Sun-Times asked about his status.

The newspaper says Rizzo is among the fraternity of Chicago cops who, despite repeated run-ins with the law, have continued working for the department. In a three-year stint as police superintendent, Jody Weis tried to get 66 employees fired. Of those, 19 ended up fired by the Chicago Police Board, a nine-member panel of mayoral appointees. ?It was frustrating,? Weis says. ?Oftentimes, these guys are recidivists, where they?ll go out and embarrass the department again.?

Why Were The Trillions In Fake Bonds Held In Chicago Fed Crates?

While there is precious little in terms of detail coming out of the latest and literally greatest “fake” bond story in history, the BBC has been kind enough to release the pictures of the boxes that the supposedly fake bonds were contained in. While we reserve judgment on the authenticity of the bonds, what we wonder is whether the boxes were also fake.

Because while we can understand why someone would counterfeit the Treasury paper itself, what we don’t get is why someone would go the extra effort to also create a “fake” compartment in which to store it. In this case a compartment that is property of the “CHICAGO FEDERAL RESERVE SYSTEM.”

Perhaps Fed uberdove and Chicago Fed President Charles Evans will be kind enough to explain why Versailles Treaty Chicago Fed crates are floating around in Europe (and filled with $6 trillion in supposedly fake bearer bonds)?
