I like stefan but he lacks definition. What is spanking? hitting a child out of the blue? or corporal punishment where the discipline is explained and executed with love?
How does a wife (adult female) being beatin for whatever reason, correlate with a child being punished for bad behavior?!?!?!? A child's brain is not developed, all you're doing by hitting them is teaching them violence solves problems and hit people to get them to do what you want. You're also reducing their IQ.

The euphemism of "discipline" is the equivalent to the euphemism "protect and serve," in that both are BS excuses for abusing people.

Incidentally, hitting someone to get them to do what you want shows a lack of "discipline" on the part of the violent person doing the hitting, it doesn't teach discipline.

There has been thousands of studies showing spanking doesn't work, produces the opposite of the intended results, and lowers IQ. Also, more importantly, it's %100 child abuse.
